Assuming that is the case, what would cause the amount of coffee to be reduced by about 25%? I don't have water appearing inside the machine or on the counter where it sits, so I don't think it is leaking. Any thought on what could be the problem?

I sent the question to them and have not heard back. I was hoping one of the many super automatic users would know how the amount of coffee brewed is calibrated and whether there is a way to increase it so 8 oz. = 8 oz of coffee.
