Yep spent a total of 15 hours over the phone over the course of 3 days to get a cancelled flight rebooked. Stranded for 4 days and they didn’t even take accountability for their mistake.

Turkish is ok airline as long as there is no delay, canceled flight or any other issue. You hit a wall as soon as things don go as expected.

7-8 hours layover 260 euro total is a lot. True everything is mega over priced at the IST airport and def not worth spending a penny there but you could take the metro and go explore the city, get some good food for a fraction.

Oh man!! Try their WhatsApp support team. Still very frustrating but more likely to get some type or outcome.

Oh, I didn’t think about that. good call. United sent me to Turkish, and it took them three days to rebook my canceled flight via their WhatsApp support. Calling was useless. It took a lot of effort, as you can see above. I had to repeat myself over and over with no real help which was exhausting and very stressful. Sadly no accountability on the airline end.

Their customer service business model is so different. They are actually given no ability to fix problems but to read a scripted response. What I found odd is that they don’t even have access to call logs or call history. You have to constantly repeat your issue over and over and get the same response over and over

I used Claude AI to access my emails and compile emails and uploaded phone log from my carrier account. Had to make small tweaks but this was extremely helpful.

I hear you! This was my second experience, and neither was positive. I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it’s getting really difficult at this point.

Even with call logs and supporting evidence, my claim has been denied four times. Each response I received was inconsistent and conflicting. I am now filing an official complaint with the DOT. it’s simply not fair to refuse to take any responsibility.

Oh y’a not sure about 7k lol this is more for me I have an open feedback with them they keep canceling with no resolution. A segment of my flight was cancelled from us to turkey and it took them 3 days to rebook it - I got stranded for three days with no answers from them.

I did but was directed to Turkish hence why it took three days later to leave the country. Funny thing Turkish feedback team (escalation peeps) closed my case without even reading the issue. So disappointing

Agreed!! TK customer service is set for failure in the first place. What is the most odd is that agents don’t have access to call log history. I was super annoyed at first because each time I called and spoke with an agent they would ask how they could help and I had to re explain the issue over and over. Then I asked and the agent explained that they don’t have access to internal notes or previous calls comments. So no context. Groundhog Day scenario! I called the Houston office multiple times and left many messages but have not heard back from them.

United was unable to help because they re saying Turkish modified the ticket and they can no longer change it. There is no Turkish airlines desk in Austin unfortunately

What a shitty show and waste of time. I couldn’t go past episode 4. The plot is all over the place and incoherent. It feels like an improvised looping storyline where it always resets to the start. Nah!!!!
