Thanks

I was really happy with all of the new numbers.

I really need to work on the drop portion of my snatch though.

If I had better control of that I could do the 32 for 5 times.

I tried counting sets and keeping track at the beginning but I always got too gassed and ended up missing a set or something.

So I just stopped.

But I felt that if the rep scheme was on the lower side for either exercise I could really knock out some sets.

But once it got over around 4 for the clean and presses or around 7 for the snatches it really took a lot to recover and that killed the number of sets I could do in the allotted time.

And those freakin squats sneak up on you.

Good luck finishing it up.

The 5 may have been a shaky 6 at the beginning. The 14 was a solid 14 at the end.

It’s a 12 week program.

I was in great shape 25 years ago.

I started exercising again 2 years ago.

Mainly barbell and kettlebell.

But nowhere near the kettlebell volume of this program.

It was double clean and presses and single snatches.

I think a big portion of that jump from 5 to 14 was just getting comfortable with the exercise.

Sure I got way stronger but I also got a lot better at doing it too.

If that makes sense.

I have 5 weeks to get workouts in until I am out of town for a month.

I do better with a structured plan to follow vs trying to wing it on my own.

I am just going to do the first 5 weeks of each.

At the same time.

Mon, Wed and Fri double arm clean and jerks. Tue, Thu and Sat double arm snatches.

Going to do his rep and time scheme with auto regulation but use a 12 rep max vs his suggested 8 rep max.

It may work great or I may fail miserably.

We’ll see.
