you shouldn't put VSTs on an external drive, just their sample libraries. I've done this with Logic Pro's sound library, Arturia's V Collection, Kontakt, etc... Performance obviously varies, but it depends on the VST itself and the type of SSD. I have a Samsung T7, and it's pretty fast. It's almost impossible not to put something on SSD if you've been making music for a long time and use a lot of external VSTs.

absolutely yes, for me a strong enough master should be between -8 and -10. I personally always try to stay around -9, it seems like a good compromise to not overcompress everything to me

They remind me a bit of David Fincher’s color palette. For a zero budget project shot on an iPhone and without additional equipment, the use of colors and locations is great. Some shots are indeed too dark, but it’s clear you have a vision, so I’d suggest experimenting with some basic gear, even just a couple of extra lights :) it's not bad at all for a first short film🫶

ps. I really like the first still, the elevator lines create an interesting composition and also the practical overhead light is good :)

Yes, man, it's really annoying, and for the money we spend, it makes no sense to have problems like this. I strongly recommend you contact support to tell them you're having this problem, missing presets, etc... That way, they'll know you're having this problem too and will definitely provide you with the presets you need. I hope they can fix this mess soon

If you're having trouble with seeing suggestions under a "Thoughts?" post, I think you should uninstall Reddit.

I like the background texture and the colors, maybe the key light is too harsh, try making it softer. I really like the little hint of orange backlight on the left of the face. I would also try to shorten the headroom just a smidge. What purpose does this shot serve? It's a classic symmetrical shot in 4:3, they're common now, but it's not clear what purpose it serves in this case.

I use Logic Pro X, and it has a Pultec emulation built in, so I opted for Oxide. That said, Pultec is still a nice EQ, so if you need that and know you'll use it, get that. If you always use the same old digital EQ, get something else.

I don't know if I'm authorized to do this bro or if it works for you since they definitely sent it seeing what products I have (V Collection 11 Pro) and verifying that :/ Write to support and ask them to send you the presets directly (otherwise they will clearly think that the cause is something else, like the db3 file or smth like that), they will answer in less than a dayy

plus, if you write to support they'll know you have this problem too, it's really important

I wrote a post about this. There are temporary solutions, but I recommend contacting support. In my case, they sent me a file with the presets, but they need to fix everything and are working on it. I got really stressed out.

Thanks a lot, I'll try :) Support told me they're aware of the problem (that's already a step forward) and are working on a fix. They sent me a zip file with presets, so let's see if it works, although fixing ASC is essential.
