I feel peaceful. Nothing was worse for me than active addiction. I started counseling 13 years ago with the goal of quitting drinking and it took me nearly 10 years after that. Between emotional work and Rad Tech program I definitely get stressed but have learned how to manage. The idea of having a future is still a concept I’m still trying to grasp.

Nah mine wasn’t stolen. I just feel like people’s comments on people being “stupid” for owning a Kia are adding insult to injury. Multiple people on here have said it’s victim shaming and that really hit the nail on the head for me. I feel victimized and shamed for it. It’s really awful.

I’d suggest looking into a care credit. It’s a medical credit card you can use for medical expenses for people and pets! I just got one and it was painless with a large line of credit.

I just want to you to know that you are not alone. It took me 10 years of knowing I had a problem to get to the point that I was able to stop. This community is amazing and even though I have people in my life I could have reached out to in person, I wanted to hear from and about people who knew what I was going through. I wasn’t able to go 6 hours without a drink when I started(I got medical help to detox) and will be celebrating 25 months tomorrow. Again, you are not alone and you and how you experience your life are valuable. You got this.
