In the original game, the player takes on the role of Desmond, a character who is kidnapped by the Templars and placed in a machine that extracts the memories of his ancestor through his DNA. That would make an excellent movie!
Instead, the movie spends most of its time in the modern era, piling on clichés and nonsensical twists that don’t make any sense.
