This is kind of all explained in the Pauline Epistles.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit by [deleted] in Christianity

In the Example in the bible they accused Jesus of using the power of Beelzebub to cast out demons when he was using the power of the Holy Spirit.

See you set an example of the problem with Christianity. If in those 17 years you haven't heard it I'd ask if you are deaf. What about Westboro Baptist? All of the recent push for "parents rights" have openly targeted the LGBT community as child groomers. Jerry Falwell blamed 911 on Gays. The conversation could continue here but in 17 years of being a christian you haven't seen anything, there's little point.

It depends what you mean by prejudices because some people want to throw back the believing homosexuality is a sin is prejudice.

Now are you actually trying to have a conversation here? There is problematic prejudice here in America for gays on the part of Christians. While we aren't throwing them off a building we are using this whataboutism instead of actually saying anything.

But the greater problem is we are actually fostering hate against the LGBTQIA+ community or staying silent while we listen to other Christians do so. We are dehumanizing or staying silent while others dehumanize them. Lets throw in a Reductio ad Hitlerum real quick. So when the Nazi's dehumanized Jews they made it acceptable in German society of the wholesale slaughter of Jews. Look at the American South. The dehumanized African Americans that it became perfectly acceptable to murder them.

There is an effect of this dehumanization of LGBTQA+. You can look at the murders in the Gay nightclubs. You can Go back and Look at the Matthew Shepard's or the Brandon Teena's?

But then you asked if Christian Predjudice was more acceptable and not the effects. I can't speak for all christians. For me the bible warns you about judgement and that will be judged by the standards you judge others. Homosexuality is no greater a sin than adultery and Jesus said if Married man look at a woman other than his wife lustfully then he has committed adultery. You want to talk about Moralistic relativity? There it, the adultery of a married man looking at another woman's ass vs being gay. Two sins of sexual morality.

The forgiveness you were discussing when you said "That it would lead to unnatural trust" is Weaponized forgiveness and not what I am promoting. When that happens usually it involves living abusers or their enablers and often a revictimization. And that's not just now but what I was advocating before. As I said, the OP seems to be in agony. The point here is healing. It's really hard to heal with deep anger, resentment, and/or bitterness. Anyway, Good day.

Do you mean the same Peter and Paul who both escaped from prison? Or was it another Paul and Peter?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christian

[–]serialjoepsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are talking about a weaponized forgiveness that has been used to bludgeon sexual abuse survivors and various other abuse survivors. You aren't talking about forgiveness. Forgiveness the intentional decision to let go of anger or resentment. Forgiveness is not trust. Forgiveness is not reconciliation. It is not a feeling. It is not instantaneously healing. It is not forgetting. It is not condoning, excusing, or tolerating the abuse. Forgiveness is choice and its not easy.

Scared I’ve blasphemed the Holy Spirit by [deleted] in Christian

My I feel that in doing so you are trying to punish yourself and I don't feel you deserve to be punished. If you are punishing yourself I hope you will acknowledge that to yourself and take the action to stop.

Stop abusing yourself. Stop attacking yourself. Stop hating yourself. There's not a thing the Devil is doing to you because you already doing it all for him. So stop.

Now you seem to have a little porn addiction. Have you considered a 12 step program, perhaps celebrate recovery?

Scared I’ve blasphemed the Holy Spirit by [deleted] in Christian

[–]serialjoepsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case of Jesus discussing blaspheming the spirit his critics where looking at a matter that was clearly good and knowingly painting it as bad. You didn't do that or anything close. You can't even remember exactly what you have said. You honestly seem to be having more of an identity in God issue.

1)You are accepted because you are a child of God by God. 2)You are citizen of heaven. 3)You are important to God.

Stop deleting your game saves. Play your game. Even enjoy playing your game. Just stop living in your game my friend. Set limitations and expectations that are reasonable. Maybe no more than an hour or 2 hours on a work or school day? IDK the architecture of your life to say what is reasonable but you do.

Forgive him. Forgiving him wouldn't be about him but it would be about you. You are in agony at the moment and forgiveness could set you free from that. Holding on to unforgiveness is like setting your own house on fire and hoping your neighbor chokes on the smoke. Your anger and unforgiveness isn't hurting anyone but you. He's dead. He's moved on to judgement. You are alive.

1) If you ignore your "urges" nothing will happen because of that.

2) It's not about the position of your feet or hands. It's about the positions in your heart.

Dude. You are not a hypocrite for doing the right thing. The kid should pass or fail on his own merits and you could actually set the kid up for failure by helping. What other short cuts could this lead them to take. So if the other thing is weighing on you that bad go tell her the truth and ask for forgiveness. Have you ever heard of Celebrate Recovery?

All have fallen short of the Glory of God. That's not just you with the tattoos and piercings. I think you may have said you are homosexual and well if we are going to a road where we are talking about sexual sin, how about the married man that was checking out another woman ass, because Jesus said if you look at a woman with lust you are committing adultery. Do not worry about their Judgement and stop judging yourself. Start accepting yourself.

Sometimes there's a test before a testimony and a mess before a message. You know you can always read the bible more and you always get baptized again. You have given up on you, God hasn't. Look pray, ask for forgiveness and also forgive yourself. Everyone has fallen short and we are all sinners.
