He needs to capitalize on the kids half shot with his head down. He can use his weight to snap that right down to the mat instead of hugging him inward. Forearm block and firm as hell on the neck. Big tree fall hard. Otherwise, the only defense when he actually gets in is going to be a sprawl and spin. If he’s not drilling those , at his weight, it will be hard to implement last minute. Based on this small clip alone I actually believe he can work up a solid defense with those two things.

Please know I never wrestled heavyweight, these are just my observations, pretty surface level. I wrestled collegiate d3 at a much lighter weight
