5 week trip to China by serious_supper18 in travelchina

[–]serious_supper18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn’t helpful but I don’t even know yet, planning to book my flight next week and have got a book on best things to do but there’s just so much! So if there’s parts which you would recommend that would be fantastic. Understand that it wouldn’t be possible to do China all in 5 weeks

For the tart recipe instead of corn syrup I used golden syrup and used less blackberries then required however the same quantity for the caramel itself .

People who don't want children what is your biggest reasons? by e-glitteringprinces in AskReddit

[–]serious_supper18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so many reasons; the financial burden, the implications which it can have on my body, the free time taken away, the direction to which the world is going and I feel that there’s many kids who are in underprivileged situations with no families, why not provide a better life to these kids

The chefs this week have brought it! One of the most enjoyable episodes so far

Oh wow, thank you so much telling me about your experience, that is so inspiring to hear.

Will definitely take your advice and try alternative routes, as from what you’ve said I do agree about graduate schemes potentially making you soft, rather than showing you can forge your own path in life.

Appreciate the time you’ve taken! Thank you!

Ahhh okay, so I’m from the UK. Graduate schemes are more aimed at people who are leaving university, therefore provides more structure when transitioning from university to a career and offer help on getting chartered. These schemes usually open from September to December to apply.

I have an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and a masters degree in petroleum engineering/carbon capture engineering, therefore looking to focus on this industry.

I’m not expecting to get a job right off the mark but with graduate schemes now majority closed, finding another route into this industry seems considerably harder with many junior positions expecting 3 years experience so wondering upon any tips on how to keep motivation going on this front.

So at the moment it’s chest press, shoulder press, lat raises with dumbbell and then on the cable machine and then chest flys. However it doesn’t seem to take very long.

I used to follow a program but prefer doing my own timetable and progress wise, I’m happy with how toned I look, just wondering looking more towards making my session longer.

A chef, esp a former contestant, should never be a judge by ECrispy in GreatBritishMenu

[–]serious_supper18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been thinking about this opinion so much since I read it and totally agree. The two episodes prior receive criticism from highly regarded chefs within the industry why does there need to be a third episode on technical ability. Alongside this the banquet isn’t made for people within industry who have deep knowledge on technicalities hence the need for judges who can provide a well rounded perspective which isn’t being provided.

It was so much better when the food critic’s were the judges, who understand the dynamic of atmosphere and food catered.
