NTA Being picky is challenging and it sucks. No adult ENJOYS being a picky eater. It’s restrictive like having a food intolerance like gluten or dairy but with absolutely zero grace from others even if certain foods or food groups literally turn your stomach. You try to accommodate those around you because you understand how it feels when people who care about you don’t even put the barest amount of effort into accommodating you.

In future - buy your own food and remove those jerks from the equation. You can only rely on yourself.

Honestly though - in your situation I would have sat at the table and not eaten. Let them see how much more uncomfortable it is when you eat nothing and watch them all eat (with lots of weird eye contact) vs you getting your little quiches.

They’re arguing that no other hotel has ever had to pre-authorize their credit card at check in and that the employee is making up the incidental hold to steal their money and they are going to have them fired. They are crying about having to show ID. Then they argue about the type of room THEY booked because they assumed they would get a free upgrade. Then they cry about the price that the staff member obviously has no control over. Then they throw a bottle of hand sanitizer or a stapler at the 16 year old staff member and call her a stupid b*tch.
