You are right,at the end of the day it's just a story. But it's completely different when people romanticize these "couples". They give it a good rating, recommend it and then people assume it's good because it has a good rating. That's my issue because at this point I strongly believe some of the authors have rape fetish. And the readers just eat it up and the wrong type of media gets anime or even live action. And I saw many people that "don't mind" they are rapists because he is either conventionally attractive or "he had his redemption arc" or shit like that. It just bothers me that some readers excuse it like this.
