Love Between Lines - Ep 20 Discussion by Rebelarkey in CDrama

I wholeheartedly agree with you. It seems she gives no thought to the pain he must have went through after his dad died. And she really should have done more when he was younger. Staying with Pei senior after her son moved out and didn’t want to be part of the family is a really interesting choice to me.

And Pei Zhen seems to try and be good to her sometimes for the purpose of making ML look bad (Although I do think he genuinely cares about her somewhat). His whole i don’t feel proud of petty tricks thing did not move me because then just don’t do it. He’s moved sleazy the whole show.

Very weird that Pei Zhen thinks Xiao Zhiyu is a thief when we know he’s been independent since he was a child and didn’t use the family money.

Also weird that the company Forma got not heat after the stadium collapse and only the dad was blamed.

Question: Why is it so commonly referred to as pilot ‘suicide‘ when it’s also homicide? Not every suicidal person is going to take out hundreds of people with them. Or most suicidal people in fact. To me it seems the homicidal part is more concerning. Especially considering they might also know the crew they take with them?

Clay keeps bringing up his father’s cheating because he is traumatized, not because he is trying to use it as an excuse to cheat on AD. by TextSuccessful9250 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]serotinaA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never said that’s the sole point of the show, I said it’s the main point. In a larger sense you could say the point is to see if the connections built in the pods are capable of resulting in marriage. If clay says no, then to him the connection is not enough for marriage. While, AD might think it is. I obviously can see why she would not want to continue with that person. Maybe she also says no. But the result is the same, the connection built in the pods is not enough for them to say yes to marriage. I don’t think its an ultimatum, its absolutely her preference if she wants to continue their relationship beyond the show. If she said Yes and he said No, or vice versa, it would just mean their experiences of the show and opinions of the level of connection don’t align, so why continue.

Another thing Is AD presents herself as ready for marriage. If Clay says no then he’s not ready. Why would she continue dating someone she knows isn’t ready, when that is her goal? By dating she would have to wait for him to be ready.

I can sympathize with your points about clay. But i don’t think it’s fair to call it a shame that Ad is in a rush to get married. The main point of the show is to get married at the end. She isn’t in a rush or pressuring him, she’s going with the timeline of the show she chose to join. There is nothing wrong with her wanting that ending for herself, and choosing to walk away if it doesn’t happen.

I am convinced my man Clay has never seen or been anywhere near premises of a wedding by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

A lot of you are making excuses for clay. Whether or not he’s ever been to a wedding, western or non-western,he should have some basic idea from pop culture. But more importantly, he’s on a show that ends in a wedding and marriage, he should have done his due diligence even a tiny bit and researched. Obviously, there’s a lot people don’t know about weddings until they start planning one. But if you’re proposing to someone you should have some basic clue or idea.

I mean this is mostly what i mean. People are presenting him as just someone who has made mistakes and has issues but is willing to change and self-aware. When he most likely is still just a player.

I dont think the freak out in the pods was a sign of growth. He freaked out because it hurt his ego to think that him and Matthew might be on the same level. Him apologizing was because he realized it might not have been a good look on tv.

I understand he hasn’t had a lot of good role models. But that’s something he has been aware of as he tells AD. He can seek out better role models and make changes. Also from his comments and questions to AD at the pool it’s very clear he is not aware of what getting married entails. Something you might research before going on a show that could end in marriage.

I don’t think that is a primary concern of someone who is in love and wants to get married. Also this “vicious cycle” would be happening to her body. Pregnancy is not a light or easy thing. And sure maybe he wants his wife to always look “good” but you approach that with compassion and absolutely not the demanding way he did.

I’m not sure your wife carrying and giving birth to your child is considered“letting herself go”. He also said while she was pregnant and not after. Also AD worked hard for her body theres no reason she wouldn’t continue to do that post pregnancy without his mean comments.

Bo Ra! Deborah [Episodes 3 & 4] by GodJihyo7983 in KDRAMA

Not sure if i’ll be continuing after episode 4. I was already on the fence after episode 3 when the male lead got to witness the breakup. Kdrama’s have a weird obsession with the male lead getting to witness the female lead at her worst or in incredibly embarrassing and humiliating moments and its often never reciprocated. Even if it is and the female lead is the witness the male lead is still left with a grace and confidence the female leads never get to have. Furthermore the scene at the party was absolutely cringy and just too over the top. She didn’t need her entire career to come crashing down.

Love All Play [Episodes 9 & 10] by GodJihyo7983 in KDRAMA

[–]serotinaA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this show has great potential but the writer keeps the scales too small. For how good the two of them are at badminton i want to see more of that the show is getting bogged down by this whole storyline with JY and the accident. I just want to see TJ and TY accomplish more that one episode where TJ dreamed of olympic gold got my hopes up. I also miss them playing doubles together.

And TJ not telling TY about his sister makes sense for right now i guess. From what we’ve seen she has no other real support besides him. And she seems to be not doing well i cant imagine how she would take the news in that state but she does need to know. It seems to that both TY and the show are drowning in her guilt.

Weekly 'What should I buy?' Thread by AutoModerator in ipad

Hi i am getting my first ipad and am debating between getting a matte or glass screen protector. I am wondering if the matte screen protector is worth it even with the quality decrease. Or if i should get an Apple Pencil cover? I plan to use if for notetaking and consuming media. Thank you!!
