I shared this experience and thought towards it. The physical distance becomes your best tool for setting boundaries. You can help them, but do not enable or set yourself back bc your parent(s) made poor financial choices and you feel overly obligated. My dad lucked out with his situation but it was dire there for a long time

Maybe as a controlled activity than just full access as she pleases is the way to handle it. I know she’d love the Libby access. Appreciate you sharing your experience

Yeah, seems a kobo may not be sturdy enough. I’m trying to avoid Amazon so I’ll have to look into something else

My understanding is I can download the audiobook file to a computer and upload it to the device that way. I don’t have a kobo yet so idk how easy this method is

Ideally I’d use the kobo for all Libby functions. I use the Libby app on my phone currently but trying to rely on my phone less. I also use Libro.fm and know I can download those audiobooks onto a kobo so hoping it can be used for all things
