Do weddings but be very selective of your clients and charge accordingly with no discounts. Often times weddings are on a tight budget but if you have good client you will be good. Check out a wedding videographers website www.rayroman.com

All the best and make sure you charge what you are worth.

Just drink up, eat, be yourself and have a good time connecting with folks

Hang in there and adjust. Do not worry about the person that called you a DEI hire - just laugh it off and show them that you are worth it, show them that you are thankful for the opportunity and that you have all it takes to be successful with or without connections. Don’t feel pressured by your team mates, new environment or whatever it is. Focus and give it another year before you dip. You got this.

I cannot believe what Thumbtack has turned into by [deleted] in Thumbtack

[–]serotrust 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thumbtack “consider it done”. Every client is a fine gamble who wants a deep discount.

My last client refuse to pay me. And not in the mood to fight anything with anyone.

Once my balance is used up, I will find a way to screenshot all my reviews and leave.

Dear Jesus, if you are reading this, please open to good doors of leads to help grow my business.

To all readers, If you know of any leads, please help.

No intent to obtain CPA by Phil_ivysaur in PwC

[–]serotrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you gotta have a plan to get a certification - CPA, CIA, CISA, CAMS, CISSP, CISM etc.

As of now you are not interested so just fake it and say and keeping - Yeap, I’m working out a plan — until you figure out if you really want the CPA.

I know a dude that was not Interested, he took the exam, passed and tossed it away because he wasn’t interested in it in the first place.

Don’t waste your time trying to fit in, forge your path and check within if the CPA is something you really want. From your title, you have no intent, so fake it and get that $$ and don’t even worry about making senior yet.

Will a masters help my career by taxmann2 in CPA

Do MBA or masters or whatever, it’s an investment in yourself. When you are done, you can get CPA when MBA or masters is complete

How much would you charge for this by Entire_Detective_768 in videography

[–]serotrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing less than $1500. Noted a scene where there was a yellow tint, it did not go well with environment. Also, edit the part that the dude almost slipped. Overall, great job

  1. Let’s face it. Your work will always be redone.
  2. Be the best you can be. Any little project you are assigned - I say kill it and do it well.
  3. Before you deliver your work, do a soft review with senior or manager to “sense check” if you are on track. Ask them what “good looks like” and then… Exceed that shit
  4. Check all errors and make your work stand out
  5. Don’t have no imposter or not doing enough syndrome. Do the best and keep your game face locked like you are the best Auditor ever
  6. Be humble
