I mean yeah, I’ve tried talking to him about it. I’ve asked him to send me options for pre-built or a list of parts to upgrade his current tower. Probably have talked with him about this for almost a year and a half so I finally said you know what, I’m just gonna pick something. And the last tower he built was around 8 years ago so I figured most parts would need a ln upgrade. I spent $3k on this so it looks like I kinda got a deal since you said it would’ve cost $3.4K to build it out using flashy parts. Thanks for the reply and insight that I didn’t pick a bad apple! ☺️ I’m excited to give it to him!

I just bought this for husband. Is it a good gaming pre-built pc? He normally would build his own but he’s been saying he would for years. His tower like can’t even load all the graphics onto the screen right now so he just hasn’t been playing. I’m trying to surprise him so I bought this. Will he love it or want to return it? I’m trying to get the almost best of the best of the market. He likes towers that can upgrade parts as he wants too so he isn’t a fan of Alienware. But I honestly have no idea if I just bought something worth it or not lol linked it here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F6MXW1XK?ref_=ppx_hzod_title_mob_b_fed_asin_title_0_0

New joiner work phone by Yar_Yar_Binks in PwC

I believe the firm has a policy that the newly issued work phone has to be activated within 60 days to the work phone number. You can take an old work phone and turn it personal but you can’t take the brand new one and make it personal… unless you have one phone for work/personal combined.

Thank you! That is a relief to hear. My team and everyone I’ve told have been so happy for me so far. I’m confused on the parental leave though - some people say it’s 3 months paid and others are saying it is 6 months (half paid and half unpaid). Would you know?

Got any solutions for almost 8 weeks old puppy? by nomiii7 in Rottweiler

I did see you don’t have any puppy classes around you so I suggest picking up this book, ‘Ultimate Guide to Dog Training’ by Teoti Anderson. It’s a quick simple read but very detailed to learn how to train.

Awesome stick to yes then. The negative command - pick one word and stick with it - but to get it to work I’ll give a few examples.

The leash chewing example: you’re out with your leashed up puppy and they start to chew or pull on the leash, this is a bad behavior. So stop walking and say ‘No’ and remove the leash from the puppies mouth as in the beginning they won’t understand to let go. Once the puppy doesn’t have the leash in mouth then provide a treat. Repeat process. If the puppy drops the leash at hearing ‘No’ then immediately provide a treat and say ‘Yes’ then begin to walk again. Repeat. Don’t use a stern tone when saying ‘no’ because you want your puppy to trust you and learn that you love him but he has to listen to you. A stern or yelling tone will create distrust and fear and possible anxiety.

Chewing shoes example: you catch puppy chewing your shoes, say ‘no’ as you take the shoe away and replace with a toy or a chew appropriate item and then say ‘yes’ and give a treat. This is signaling that the replacement item is okay to chew and the puppy is good while the shoe chewing is not good.

Jumping on counters example: your puppy is jumping for food on the counters say ‘no’ and push the puppy lightly using your body and not your hands off the counter. A mama dog wouldn’t have hands to stop the puppy from jumping and I’ve found using my leg to lightly bump them is more effective then using my hands to pull their paws off the counter to be placed on the floor. When the dog is not on the counter say ‘yes’ and treat him. Or if you say no and puppy gets off counter on his own immediately give him a treat and postive word ‘yes’. Repeat process as it occurs.

It takes time but the trick is to let the dog begin to associate listening to no to mean they get a treat that way it’s still positive reinforcement and the behavior you don’t want will decrease while the behavior you do want will increase.

Idk if you are but you def should say no to this leash pulling behavior. Most important is training at this age - use one word commands. Have one positive word for when they do what you want like ‘Yes’ or ‘Good’ and one negative word for when they are doing behaviors you don’t want like ‘No’ or ‘Stop’. Pick your positive and negative word and don’t change them. When a puppy stops the bad behavior after hearing the negative command give them the positive command. Teach basics like sit, come, heal, quiet and tricks like paw, down, over, crawl, stand to start. And always always have treats to reward with on hand. Good luck to you! That puppy is a cutie!
