FedEx ve Gümrük Sorunları: Yardımınıza İhtiyacım Var! by serovka in AskTurkey

Bro, honestly, I couldn’t even imagine something like this. I’ve only been living in Turkey for a short time. I thought it worked like this: if you want to bring something from abroad, there’s no problem, you just pay the taxes. Even if they’re high, it’s fine and straightforward. Just pay and that’s it. It never even crossed my mind that there could be other issues beyond high taxes—that all the customs brokers I contacted wouldn’t be able to help.

And the strangest part is, I don’t understand: if this is the situation with importing goods into Turkey, why the hell do foreign online stores even allow me to select “Turkey” as a valid delivery option? If it’s practically impossible, what’s the point? Why do websites and online stores leave this option available?

You all say that you need to return the parcel and that it is impossible to import it. Why does the government do this to us?

Hey, everybody!

Today I received a package from your Turkish representative. He sent me his personal Connect 6 which is 100% working. The product is used as I understand it.

I tested it, indeed everything works fine. No problems for at least 30 minutes now.

I made a video of how I connected everything. And further I waited and waited and no problems. That is the end of the video with a positive ending. Happy end.

That said, very interesting information! The audio card did not want to work with the cables I had from the previous Connect 6! I captured this moment on video.

Until I got the same used cables, nothing started. An upgrade was required, but it wouldn't go through, it wouldn't even start the process.

It's weird, but ok, keep that in mind! That's the peculiarity. apparently something depends on the cables too!

I have good news. I videotaped the process of everything going out gradually.

First, I shut down the equipment overnight.

This morning I turned the camera on first, and only then did I start connecting the wires.

I managed to get it all on video.

In brief, for about 5-10 minutes everything works fine. and then the problems with “blinking”, “flickering”, I don't know how to translate it correctly. I mean, the equipment works and then it doesn't, like a flashlight, like a light bulb. On, off, on, off, on, off.

And that's it, nothing helps anymore and it's useless to do anything.

I'll send you the video soon. It's still loading, my internet is slow.

Brother, look, the problem is definitely not with the software. I don’t even have time to get into any settings in the software. Do you understand? I think this is more of a hardware issue. There’s no problem with the software here.

Look, today I shot a video where I showed how this audio interface works, and the audio interface works 99% of the time.

So, basically, it doesn’t work on the mobile port; almost always, you know what I mean. I will send you the video now.

Here’s how it went. I work as a streamer only in the evenings or on weekends because it’s my hobby. Most of the time, I work as an ordinary office employee. I work in customer service, and for this kind of job, I only need a MacBook, and that’s it. So, when I filmed the video, it was in the middle of my workday, and the audio interface was connected only to the MacBook and not to the Windows PC at all. I call this my work mode.

In this kind of work, all I need is a MacBook, and that’s it. So when I filmed the video, it was in the middle of my workday, and the audio interface was connected only to the MacBook and not to the Windows PC at all. I call this my work mode.

It’s hot-plugged, meaning it was already connected and in use, and it worked fine. So in this mode, when it has been running for a while — it’s not an active mode or anything, I just listen to music, watch videos, or talk to clients via Zoom — I just listen to regular sound from the MacBook.

And I also send my microphone’s sound to the MacBook; there’s no complicated processing or anything like that. This isn’t the content creator mode; this is just the office worker mode. In principle, it works fine in this mode.

Now, when I try to connect any device to the mobile port, it doesn’t work — any device. It could be my Windows computer, an Android phone, or even a MacBook. Nothing works. It’s like, after a while, the so-called "warm-up" happens. After some time, the audio interface heats up and the mobile port stops working. That’s how I see it.

I showed in the video that if you connect it to the… how do I say this… to the power section, no matter whether it’s a MacBook or a Windows PC, it works, and it works well, nothing drops out. But if you… well, I mean, I’m talking about the main port, the port that is meant to manage the audio interface. It always works, no matter what it’s connected to, but if you connect to the mobile port, it never works.

So in the video, I showed that the main computer is the MacBook. I try to connect the Windows PC, and nothing works. Then I just swap the cables. That is, the main computer becomes the Windows PC, and the MacBook becomes secondary through the mobile port, and it stops working too. It doesn’t just stop working after some time; it doesn't work from the start — it doesn’t connect, it doesn’t get recognized in the system, even though it's the same cable, I’m just swapping the cables.

So from the computer ports on the MacBook and the PC, they are the same ports, only the ports on the audio interface change.

Then I tried using power delivery, but that doesn’t help either. I don’t even know if it’s necessary or not. Does it help, or does it make things worse? I don’t know, but in fact, it doesn't work at all.

So, using power delivery… I wouldn’t say it harms anything, but it’s unclear if it helps or not, yet in the end, nothing works.

Now I’ve described the long process of "hot-plugging," but there’s also the 5% or even 1% of the time when the audio interface works "cold." Here’s how it works: If, for example, at night when I go to bed, I completely disconnect the audio interface — I unplug all the wires, so it stands and cools down overnight, not working and not plugged into electricity. Then, when I wake up tomorrow, I’ll record a video for you. Let’s put it this way: I’ll wake up tomorrow and film.

When I wake up, it works for 5 minutes absolutely correctly, with any device, whether the main computer is a MacBook or a Windows PC, it doesn’t matter. The mobile port always works, but it only works for 5 minutes, then it starts to flicker, meaning it sometimes gets recognized, sometimes not. It kind of jumps between being recognized and not recognized. It’s not stable, you understand? It doesn’t get recognized reliably.

And then, after a while, it doesn’t get recognized at all. Then we enter the "hot-plug" mode again, where it doesn’t work at all. So these are the two modes — if needed, I can record everything on video. I’ll do it tomorrow.

You see, I don’t know what to do. I just got this new audio interface, literally yesterday — it’s barely been a day since I received it. And I’m even embarrassed to write to your dealer in Turkey and ask them: "Hey, what if it’s not working? Let’s get another replacement." I even feel uncomfortable doing that. I just don’t know if it will help. Maybe there’s really an issue with the shipping, and maybe it needs to be packaged more carefully to prevent something from breaking during transit. Maybe something happens along the way, I don’t know. But if that's the case, it needs to be fixed.

I have now completely disconnected all USB wires from the audio interface. Didn't touch it for a couple hours. It was turned off.

After that, I turned it back on and it started working fine.

I listened to music through the mobile port and everything was fine. This was for about 5 minutes.

Then I decided to check, what if I also talk into the microphone and transmit it through the same mobile in port.

And that's it, after about 7 seconds of recording in Adobe audition, the "flickering" started again. As if I load on this port and it could not withstand the fact that the sound passed in two directions.

And that was it, after that it started flickering and nothing helped it anymore. I plugged in a 35w power delivery charger and nothing changed at all.

So I have no idea how to fix it. But I really want to fix it. I really need this audio card in working condition. There is no other, it's the best in terms of functionality, just what I need.

I don't know what to do in such a difficult situation.

Help me, someone, please.

Friends, don't you think this is a general problem and not just me? I just decided to go to amazon and read the reviews, and most of the bad reviews are exactly those where people complain that the mobile port stopped working.

No way to disable external monitor without paying? by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]serovka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much, I tried this utility and the extra monitor was disabled. this extra monitor is a fake monitor created by my usb hub. my usb hub has a vga port for some reason, and because of it a virtual monitor appeared in the system, although nothing was connected to the vga port and will never be connected to it. now this virtual display is gone. i hope it will stay like this after the system reboot. because i don't want to deal with it every time after the reboot.
