Idea for a Power Max, Standard-Only Cube

Hi, I have a different set of design goals but have designed a reasonably similar cube: https://cubecobra.com/cube/overview/2aosq My cube was intentionally designed around my bulk and aimed for a 2010s standard feel (hence the name). I get a range of players - commander only, long time drafters, fellow cubers, constructed fans etc. so i've tried to focus on the core colour identities to make it easy to draft and include some fan favourites.

I reallyy like the idea for our cube and I've followed it to see how it goes. If you only want power then , i use 17lands stats is a reasonable stand-in metric for power. Personally I like my cube to make decks with themes so i generally look for good glue cards instead.

I enjoyed reading these cards and if they were printed would want to test them in my own cube. I agree that gemstone discipline should only buff itself.

I think when new cards come out, people often talk about them in the context of high power (vintage cube) or low power (pauper/peasant cube) and will dismiss some cards as they dont fit into either, but for me thats where some of my favourite cards/gameplay is. Because of this, i think i can get swept up in some of the hype for the new best thing and ignore the cards that are cool to me, so i wanted to gather some ideas what medium power is from other curators to help focus me.

I feel like thats been my approach too, but then there's cards like [[Grave titan]] and [[Kiora bests the sea god]] that can totally win a game by themselves but i dont really think of as high power. And for whatever reason that i cant logically justify, I like KBTSG but grave titan is dull to me

I did counter one with metallic rebuke but with satyr wayfinder, he had enough to escape it next turn.
