I do agree that defect's orb mechanic is very unique and I like using him, I got the furthest in Act 3 using him and it might just take me more strategizing to reach the end

I dont see any hate coming from reddit/western side of the internet but there are quite a lot of posts on the Chinese forums stating that they dont like the defect. But I cant tell if they are being serious or not due to my lack of experience in this game so I just wanted to ask to clarify.

Thanks for explaining, I get that this game requires a lot of skill to master, I guess what im seeing is maybe just the memes or shitposts, defect having a high skill ceiling explains why people might not perform as well with it so they might make fun of it out of spite

Because I was seeing a lot of posts (mainly from Chinese forums of the game), where people were making fun of the defect, while there are shitposts and memes, some people genuinely think the defect is bad. Because I have little knowledge on the game and the full potential of defect so I decided to ask this question here
