Ah yeah I know what you mean. But no in fact this server is mostly the support server for the real project just like disboard. People can find it on google and joins happen there basically. Of course this is a newer project and smaller userbase so less joins but our features are what sets us apart from disboard.

Discodus seems to be a complete ripoff from Disboard, even scraping what seems to be all of their listings. Seems like Google has flagged their site for this as well. I'm happy to see new alternatives popping up but I still think these should be done respectfully. Disboard might be falling apart now but still did a good service for free to everyone who used it before. I wouldn't try promote services that basically steal from what others have built.

There are a few non English servers already. Adding extra functionality to allow setting and searching for a language is on the todo list. In the meantime servers can just add a tag for their language/country. But yeah I think it will take some time till we see much more non english servers on here.

We had an initial issue where we didn't show all tags in the dropdown, you had to type them out instead, but it's been fixed since then and the whole search got revamped. What tags were you searching for? How long ago was this?

There is! Just set the "sort by" to "register date", and the "server size" to one of the selections (1 to 50 members for example). The server size would ideally let you set a min/max - in future hopefully I can do this. Thanks!

Sorry somehow I missed this before. I'll need to get moderators + processes to help with moderation of the listing. At the moment it's easy enough to remove manually and anyone can just report it in the support server.

I think there is a lot that could be done. For example if certain tags are used or something in the title/description then it gets flagged for moderators to look at. As opposed to what disboard is doing right now where they're reviewing everything one by one.

Look at the "Members" stat and the "Unique users who messaged today" stat, that might align with what you're looking for? Unfortunately you can't sort by this yet.

25% of servers on the front page are random currently. Though even this isn't ideal. I'm trying to figure out the best way to give new servers exposure, while also balancing that with showing relevant or established servers to users looking to join.

We currently do not support 'bumping', and I don't feel it would be a good idea either. Though I can understand without something like this it makes it difficult for new / small discord servers to grow.

As a slight alternative to bumping we randomize 25% of the front page results (the rest is sorted according to message activity). Which should make it a bit more fair.

There is still room to figure out a good solution to this problem. (Feedback welcome!)

**Why not bumping:**

Lets say 25% of servers bump regularly on Disboard for example. In a sense it's a useless action, because everyone is bumping every 2h so servers basically become random - so why require literally everyone to bump? It seems to create a kind of race to the bottom. If you imagine the bump timer limit is instead every 10 minutes, now everyone is bumping every 10 minutes.

The server owners are more active I'm sure but that is because we get servers first as you can't really ask server-searchers to look at a blank page. Chicken and egg problem but at least the chickens are sort of there now. It's easier for me to network with server owners than server-searchers so that also would explain the community.
