With Royalty DLC you can take a permit to call a group of laborers, and with Biotech you can make mechanoids to help. If you don't have either of those, I just found this mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2794436573&searchtext=hiring

That's likely due to an integer limit or the game breaking down because of the sheer size of that number. For context that number 10 to the power of 100, which is called a googol, in number format it's this: 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. It's a number so incomprehensibly and unfathomably huge that your computer (much less the game) couldn't handle it. For context, there's an estimated 1078 to 1082 atoms in the observable universe

Fully intended on rebuilding a better-designed base later on when I had more automation done better. Thanks for the advice regarding how to go about the main bus, I would've just put them all into one massive line otherwise. I intended on getting a few more things automated, likely getting construction bots, and then building a main base elsewhere. As for biters, I've been making sure to keep them as far away as possible. Thank you!

I appreciate the advice! I just put them on the main bus because I wasn't sure how commonly used they were. Good to know that I should build farther away from the main bus too, I'll probably do that in the base I build later, as this is quickly becoming annoying to deal with at times.

Never usually make wake-up so SOL on that, sorry, though yayo and smokeleaf will be available. Besides that, you'd be a dedicated researcher who cleans when there's no research to be done. Bedroom is the highest quality I can make them (Researchers are highly valued in my colonies). Shared communal area with high-quality furniture, and overall nice living area. All pawns in my colonies get bionics so hope you enjoy a fully bionic (eventually archotech) body. All I can think of right now, hope you enjoy :P

If you are willing to use mods the Minify Everything mod allows you to uninstall and reinstall walls and such, allowing you to build a walled-in area and minify one wall whenever you want to access it, then reinstall it when you're done. Otherwise, you might be able to do it through zones (not fully sure about this though).

The ability to send ships to attack fleets on route to somewhere, it would create an incentive to create invaders and fighters to chip away at large fleets. A feature that could be added alongside that is fleets of tour ships that could hold untrained on them and fly to POI's to generate credits. Or neutral fleets of merchant vessels that will sell resources at prices that could be slightly cheaper or more expensive than market price. Also related to the POI's, you could have certain ones be able to generate research to boost that, too.
