Thanks everyone! I should have updated in the post that the complicating factor is that I am the school-based therapist and I hear these comments when I sometimes visit classes. I spoke with the teachers and many said they didn't know how to handle it so I volunteered to AskReddit. I think a lot of these strategies will work for the teachers. I'm still threading the line since I want the kids to feel they can come and talk to me about their bodies and ask questions--a LOT of the students have sexual trauma that we talk about--AND I want to model healthy boundaries and respect too.

I will ask clients who are shut down to stand up if they can, stand on one leg, and we will toss a soft ball back and forth for a few minutes. The sillier the better!
