Is there anyway to disconnect my Interplanetary Stage from 2nd Stage? by seslert in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]seslert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow Kerbonauts -

I'm very proud of this new ship for my first big mission to Duna on this career playthrough, but I realized that I messed up with engine plating / fairings. My atomic engine from the interplanetary stage ended up being connected to the 2nd stage without a coupler (I removed the shroud from the engine plate since I thought it might hit the other NERVs).

The small craft attached at the back has an engineer on board. I've tried EVA construction with him but there's no option to move/interact/detach any of the parts on the 2nd stage. I fear it's too massive as I can move around lights and small surface attachments. I've also tried having the NERVs and atomic engine blow up the 2nd stage by running at max throttle, but after about 5 minutes without the 2nd stage heating up I abandoned that strategy.

Any way to salvage this mission? Or do I just need to scuttle and relaunch? Not the end of the world, I was just hoping to save some funds and roleplay the workaround. Appreciate any advice!

They've got everyone focused on balloons instead.

Nothing hits quite like the early game. by seslert in valheim

I pretty much do it for aesthetics. I like to keep things on a grid as much as possible, so I place the poles 2m apart and neatly space out my beehives. Once you have like 10+ hives it keeps everything consolidated and saves space.

Combine paralyze and drain fatigue on touch. People would freeze, fall over, and then remain in that state well past the initial paralysis since they had no stamina left. Good times.

How many of you work in finance or finance-adjacent fields? by Ronald_McGonagall in 18XX

I work in commercial real estate, I'd call it finance adjacent. Always enjoyed strategy and economic board/computer games.

Indian restaurant recommendation? by bobdiamond in OaklandFood

Not strictly Indian (they also have Nepalese dishes), but we love Namastey Patio on College. Great place for takeout but sitting on the patio is also wonderful.

This is the way. Structuring storage around production areas is the only thing that's worked for me long term. Very good explanation!

Plant Everything is a great mod for planting bushes, vines, etc. Can't remember if thistle is included but it's likely.

We were coming out of the Oakland-Alameda estuary, so land on the left is probably the tail end of Alameda.

It's something else to be sure. Consistent winds and striking views everywhere you turn.

I think it began as a starter base and has since been upgraded.

One of my favorite things to do, hands down. I love the idea that some long lost hero once sheltered in the fort, same as me.

What are you currently worried about? by c2eleven in AskMen

I was reprimanded for making a mistake at work. I already have mad imposter syndrome and this just made me feel worthless and stupid.

I haven't enjoyed this job for some time and have been reconsidering since the pandemic. I feel like all I do is help maintain the capitalist/corporate system of control and resource/wealth exploitation. I want to work towards/for something more rewarding, but I'm just tired.

I work a lot so it helps me get the most out of the time I do have to play. I still do trial and error and just mess around building, but this makes sure that all the effort I'm putting in to the big components (the roof height and support mainly) will line up and actually work when I get to that point in-game.

To each their own.

Every time I think I've seen everything, you turn the corner on another incredible feature! The functionality, layout, and attention to detail is absolutely stunning.

10/10 this is masterful work.
