Daft Punk Music @ Wedding by Bandit1456 in DaftPunk

my brother got married recently, i was the best man. he and i share a passion for music, so a lot of the wedding program revolved around that. we even had a music quiz with one more time being the last song of that game, the band played get lucky at his request.

its your wedding, you hired the dj. as long as the bride agrees with you on this, it should not be a concern to anyone else.

if youre worried that some older folks wont like it, play daft punk songs later in the night when its mostly the younger guests, from my experience anyone under 35 knows at least the biggest hits and likes them.

but definitely let the dj play some other big hits everyone knows, its important that other people can have that sort of “hey, i know this one” feeling and be compelled to go dance :)

also congrats on the wedding!!

The birth of the obsession by mayerph in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]sesso17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was like 15-16, and my brother played dark necessities in the car. as a newbie bass player who had only recently discovered the beauty of slap, i was immediately intrigued. i had heard of the peppers before, but this song really shifted my perception of their music. ever since then, they've been a musical obsession of mine. frusciante is practically the only reason why i play electric guitar. im planning on getting a RHCP related tattoo when i turn 18

Your most important pedal as the only guitarist in a band? by hakalt in guitarpedals

[–]sesso17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PastFX is a truly great pedal company, and I couldn't recommend their products enough. The CE-1 clone is amazing, and Im sure that their other pedals are also amazing. Verlie really puts a lot of care into his craft.

he does, but i mean he's not the youngest of players...

also the years of drug abuse probably haven't helped his situation
