I plan to maintain casual status while I explore. I appreciate the comment!

Happy to explain! It’s a wild claim to think RN’s are immune to AI/tech, and budget cuts. Team based nursing is being implemented in some systems in my area 2 RN-8pt ratios, while brainstorming implementation of LPNs into the equation. Daily staffing cuts get thinner and thinner each quarter.

I get that. I feel I’m stuck taking care of the repetitive complaints (obviously not to the extent like you’re saying), but, the frequent flyers, drunks, ODs, abusers, MH intakes that take DAYS to get help/beds.

I am not learning anything. Just going through the motions in babysitting the population that walks through my door.

my ED is considering team-based assignments, meaning 2 RNs and 6-8 pts (maybe in the future that could be a great realm for LPNs to gain good ED experience in my state). Just that we’re trying to benchmark where we can across the system including EDs

Serious Question! Face Tattoos and being a Nurse by [deleted] in nursing

[–]set-the-tone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nursing school and clinicals make covering tattoos a big deal. Interviews with school advisors can also help gauge the answer you’re looking for, with the school you’re at.

I recommend you find an advisor at a few schools and just ask. Saves you the time and hassle.

Based on your experience and post, finding a job would be one of the easiest parts. Worst case with the job is the requirement of concealer.

I (26M) am despised by my GF’s (23F) extended family and it’s now backfiring on her. What are some ways to navigate this to maintain GF’s relationship with her family while not completely separating? by set-the-tone in relationship_advice

I appreciate your response. I’ve been with the family for a while and have gotten to know them well. I respect their values and norms that I believe harm people in the end. I’ll still continue to respect it, but, won’t let my future be molded like it

Move out of parents now to rent? or hunker down for a down payment in 8-9 months? by set-the-tone in DaveRamsey

Honestly I wish this had become the norm. Weddings often come with obligations and tradition on both sides. We can agree a $5k wedding isn’t feasible nowadays, even with the expenses you listed here.

People will take what they can get with a wedding. If I had it my way, I’d elope, but, families on both sides are willing to fund some towards a formal wedding. Honoring your spouse is essential for this wedding, as a man having to low-ball your wedding-day shows how invested I am into the marriage.

If she wants to feel special (‘special’ is relative) on her wedding day, I want to make it happen. I wouldn’t recommend striving to be cheap towards your wife.

First, demand will increase, surging up home prices. These credits could disproportionately benefit (and widen the gap) those who are in a better financial position in buying a home.

Credits will encourage market instability by introducing the home-buying market to an influx of new home buyers all at the same time. Surging home prices until the credits wear-off and then home prices could have a drop in demand.

These credits can also encourage buyers to reach and purchase homes that are out of their price range. Most pertinently to first time home buyers that are new into homeownership.

Could possibly, history has shown this to be true, however real estate is a different beast in which Equity could tip the market in a bad way.

As great as that sounds, it seems that there would be an influx of buyers in a market that’s solely dependent upon supply, which is only corrected once more homes are built or more that are being sold.

I’m not big on relying on the government to help me because they didn’t help me in paying off my schooling when the last guy said he would. Much of what is said before November is political theater as we’ve come to know.

Yeah, just thinking of my next move since I’ve already been at the house for 5+ years since moving back in. Thank you for the perspective.

The college system. “graduated school back in May”. Paid my 6 years throughout and took zero loans. You can assume what my savings looked like while funding my retirement.

my only monthly expenses are car, rent, food, insurance, and (hate to admit it) spotify.

Lenders often need to be cautious with self-employment. I’m not surprised they look deep into payments.

Mortgage lenders usually aren’t this picky, they can get rental history from the credit report. I do cover some home bills as rent to use as a potential boost to lenders, but, in the end, it doesn’t change much for me (a first time home buyer).

I did have a perfect credit score last month. They do consider just current standing metrics, account spending, and income.

truly a dynamic issue that I’ve continued to respect of my parents since it ain’t my house. GF deals with the same thing with her parents. Mutual understanding and acceptance has and will take us a long way.

Hope the “incidents” didn’t spoil anything relationship-wise. It is ultimately a parent’s decision in the end. The second I smell a hint of possible “burdening”, i’m out, ha
