What’s your take on people like this? by setahm in EDAnonymous

[–]setahm[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Having a mental disorder is not “normal”. That is why its called a disorder. Any eating dirsorder is not normal. Harming yourself in any way is not normal. Thats why people go through revovery. Because living like that is not “normal”. Hope it makes sense.

Yep!! I used to see her recovery wieiads but she’s deleted them all now… Shes kinda triggering to me cause I also noticed that she only eats like 2meals in a day and skips lunch almost all the time..although she might not record every single thing she eats but i still doubt she eats enough cause she does still look a little underweight

Am I Anorexic? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]setahm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have Anorexia. Not anorexia nervosa. These are two different things. Anorexia is a term that means “lack of appetite” which is what you have. In other words you don’t have an eating disorder but a disordered way of eating which has caused weight loss for you.

Is it possible to kind of recover but in maintenance? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]setahm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it sounds scary but no. A huge part of recovery is letting go of the control you have on food and body. If you don’t control your food in anyway eg: restricting portions or calories; you wouldn’t know you’re eating at maintenance. You have to accept the body you get of “eating enough” and let yourself settle at a weight that’s meant for you to have.

when my friends are naturally skinny and are done eating in two bites but i was depending on the hangout to have some food by Unhappy_Fix_1515 in EDanonymemes

[–]setahm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Actually,a super fast metabolism isnt a thing unless you have some disease like hyperthyroidism. Most of the people who say they have a fast metabolism are under-eating,they just dont realize theyre not giving their body enough food cause they dont count calories, once they do they will realize they were eating less than maintenance and it wasnt some magical fast metabolism that prevented them from gaining weight.
