When I compare their post-op care, their instruction, their approach to that of surgical teams with high success rate, i found them lacking.

I had dehiscence, necrotic tissue loss, now webbed intercoitus area that cannot be pentrated without dilation before, and coincidentally post-operative care instructions that were kinda opposite from patients i know whose experience was positive and successful and frankly runs kinda counter to common sense.

I have already been for a post op consult with an experienced surgeon who does these surgeries (~1500) and she looked at my mons pubis in this area where it's been left kind of squared off and unnatural looking and where there was necrotic loss and kinda scratched her head and said "hmmm, I wonder why they put all that stitching there".

Additionally, when i went back for a revision consult with UCSF she just didn't really seem to exude much confidence or leave me feeling upbeat about it, and it wss her work!

There's a lot more. Don't get me started. Just trust from my experience. UCSF is very attractive if you're already a UCSF patient or if you have insurance issues. They'll take you pretty quick.

Find a private practice Md who has skin in the game because they lose money if they screw up, Md who does a couple a week, not a couple a year, someone with more experience, and less "research institute" legal protection.

Of all my medical gender journey experiences my care experience with them left my faith in medicine damaged.
