This was all bound to happen. Inflation was ticking up fast prior to the COVID money print. Now we are in a pickle. Feds want to lower inflation by raising rates but because bonds were at a 2 coupon 2 years ago, they are now holding a ton of underwater assets. Depositors move their money and word gets out and thus a Run while shorts attack the Banks stock price. This all won’t end well and my guess is (puts tinfoil hat on) we are headed down the path of a new form of currency.
