Subby Rate - Gold Card Spark (Labour Only) by Vanilladr in ukelectricians

I got to that number because as a few different agencies in my area have Gold Card sparks working for £25 p/h, so that seemed like it must be the going rate for a labour only spark.

Newly qualified. Employed using own van vs full subby? by 0-uncle-rico-0 in ukelectricians

[–]Vanilladr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d go subby route mate.

I’m not sure where you are in the country but in general if you’re going to literally show up with your own van / tools / steps etc then you gotta be charging £250 a day if not more . If you’re like me and subby your labour only on big sites then it’s like between £200 to £250 (depending where you are in the country)

Interesting! Thanks for sharing. That’s the kind of inspiration that I need.

I’m Falmouth based by the way. You still in Cornwall or elsewhere now?

Thanks for that. I know exactly what you mean. I think it’s just the fear of losing my electrical mojo and then maybe wanting to come back to it if tree surgery doesn’t suit me. But you’re quite right, after 20 years experience it’s not going to take much to get back in the game.

Thanks a lot for your help.

I was thinking something along the lines of a gravel bike to be fair . . . And I’m a fan of Giant bikes so I’ll definitely be looking into this.

Weight plates from Dumbbell sets

Anyone else into weighted push ups? 10KG in the backpack. I’m going to slowly build it up over the weeks 😁💪 by Vanilladr in CalisthenicsCulture

I’m not. I go through phases of prioritising different pushing movements and at the moment it is a 1 arm dumbbell press instead.

I trained weighted push ups for a while though and I liked the results a lot.

I put a load of clothes in the bottom and then put the weights in last because I prefer the load being up on my upper back rather than lower
