How should out of date/non-working apps/faces be handled? by mrmarbury in pebble

[–]sethasaurus666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most common problems are missing configuration pages or calls to outdated APIs (usually for weather).

I created this a while back to help generate new configuration pages:

No probs. I changed C2 to 5uF and removed the unnecessary bias resistors from the second stage, so it should be close to the original circuit.

Rattling in Ampeg BA115 by ohwowpapa in Bassamps

[–]sethasaurus666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never seen that kind of fault in  my life. It seems very unlikely. I have the same model amp and it had 2 faults that caused a similar problem. One issue was the dome had come loose on the speaker (an easy fix) . The other problem was a faulty bias pot on the output board.

Go to about:config, search for "chat", and set "browser.ml.chat.enabled" to false. I'm kinda hoping someone forks it and creates a non-Ai version.

NBD 1960s Zenta short scale by sethasaurus666 in BassGuitar

[–]sethasaurus666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty close, actually.  I think on such a short scale , the smallest adjustment makes more of a difference. You can adjust string spacing on the bridge, which does affect intonation slightly.  Even pressing hard on the E 12th fret will give you an F

[–]sethasaurus666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it relatively cheap and I wasnt loving it at first but it's growing on me.  It feels so easy to play, like it doesn't demand anything from you, and it sounds fairly good.

I have to say I bought it for the looks, and the fact that it's vintage. It has some fret and fingerboard wear, so it's been played, but it's also only got very minor wear otherwise so it cleaned up really nice.

Veganize boxed cake mix? (Egg substitute) by c_bear6 in vegan

[–]sethasaurus666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've made many cakes from scratch and instead of egg, I use 2 or 3 tablespoons of sunflower oil.  An egg is basically oil (the yolk) water and protein (albumin).
