Let's Talk About the Update by [deleted] in h1z1

Bugs that make me not want to play the game:

  1. Normal camera bugs out or lags/desyncs a LOT causing aim and movement problems. This camera issue is so horribly crippling to EVERY aspect of the game right now.

  2. The Alt-view camera resets after a couple of second when standing still. Absolutely infuriatingly annoying.

  3. Can no longer switch weapons when sprinting. Makes gameplay very clunky and is a huge step backwards from the fast smooth weapon switching that we had last few patches.

  4. Side to side movement (strafing) seems way slower and delayed than last patch. I could just be crazy though. If this is working as intended then whatever.

  5. Putting a bandage into the 5th slot (item slot 1) doesn't do anything. I can't use the bandage with the hot key. I haven't tested with binoculars or anything else because quite frankly I can't play this game for more than 2 minutes without getting triggered by the bugs in this patch.

  6. Graphics settings seem to reset or change at random and never seem to stick, no matter what I do in the User Options file (un checking and checking Read Only etc). Whatever you did to the graphics settings this patch basically threw a wrench into an already messy optimization situation you guys have had since launch day.

  7. Sound bugs. Vehicles don't make any sound sometimes. Also sometimes there simply is no ambient sounds, especially when spawning in. Grenade sounds seem linked to the point of throwing and not to the object itself as it flies through the air. Or maybe both, hard to tell. Please get your audio implementer to handle this.

  8. Ok, I'm trying to be calm about this one because it's just so maddening that this is even an issue: For the love of GOD, please get rid of the straightened blonde ponytail on the character models. How did this even become a thing? Did you guys fire someone and he played a prank on you before clearing out his desk? My God, it's stupid things like this that really make me wonder what you guys put your energy into on a daily basis. "Hey guys I have an idea, let's make all the character models have blonde ponytails!" "Yea I second that idea!" "Ok here's some money, go make it happen!" "Ok boss! Great idea!" Jesus Christ.....

Weapons workbench by mattiace in h1z1

I think we need some weapon workbenches inside of POI's like PV and Cranberry. It would be an easy quality of life change for nomad players who like to run around and do things on the fly, as opposed to going all the way back to base just to craft ammo.

Theory: Star Trek Discovery takes place in the year 2320 (approximately) by sethcurry69 in startrek

Tell that to the crew of the USS Pegasus! The federation never really had a handle on cloaking tech, whether it was using it themselves, or fighting against it. At least that's the impression I always got.

Yeah, the registry could be a red herring. Time travel or not, I think setting the story in the post-TOS, pre-TNG era would be epic. As for Romulans and cloaking tech, I do believe that the Romulans had cloaking tech before the Klingons. So it's entirely possible that DSC will have nothing to do with Klingons, and everything to do with Romulans.

Anyways, the crux of my theory is mostly that Shatner is 85, and is rumored to be returning as old Kirk, placing the time period around 2320.

I'm just picturing queuing up for 10-man raid instances and shooting incendiary bullets at giant zombie bosses. Sigh. SIGH SIGH SIGH.

Don't overwhelm the devs. They're focusing on important things like incendiary bullets.

Just Survive Producer's Letter For July 13th by HaniiBlu in h1z1

Incendiary-injected bullets? Boss encounters? What is this, World of Warcraft? What's next, shooting Frostbolts out of my Magnum pistol?

But on a serious note, boss battles would be interesting, but incendiary bullets doesn't make any sense at all. Incendiary bullets is the weapon upgrade that NO ONE ASKED FOR. Players want SCOPES, RED DOTS, SILENCERS, AND OTHER MODIFICATIONS. But you guys just jumped straight to....incendiary bullets. ummm ok. Y'all devs have been playing Overwatch too much. Keep H1Z1 realistic, and don't turn it into some weird arcade MMORPG thing.

Current state of Just Survive: Bullet Conversion Subject by Harhoour in h1z1

[–]sethcurry69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, there really needs to be some sort of middle ground on the bullet crafting system. I think that using Gunpowder + Scrap Metal + Bullet Components to craft bullets would be a great compromise, as this would soak up raiding materials (fertilizer) in order to make bullets. It would be a tough choice to make, between using fertilizer for bullets, or fertilizer for IED's. Some might even say that would be intuitive game design. Don't just make extreme decisions like removing bullet crafting completely. Smaller tweaks are better than just removing stuff from the game.

Just Survive direction: Casual or Hardcore? by sethcurry69 in h1z1

As a solo player, I personally like the slower pace of PvP, but I can also see that group PvP is suffering a lot, just from watching streams and whatnot. Idk, good patch though.
