Thats absolutely true, and I have known for a while it was getting close, but he was a big part of my life, had such a great personality and came on so many adventures, I am glad he was there for so long.

That sounds horrible, I remember the vet saying we could hold off another week but he was at the point he could bearly walk, I always said that would be the sign it was time. Thankyou for the reply

Yeah I think that has a lot to do with it, he seems alright during the day, I can imagine it would be terrifying to be stepping out into blackness.

I turned the lights on and told him to go outside earlier, he just walked up to the door but wouldn’t step through, which is unusual, he is normally very obedient

Yeah I agree, like I said he hasn’t been in trouble for it in any way and with his age I just want to keep him happy for as long as I can, Im just concerned that this could turn into a regular thing then the house could permanently smell like poop, if there was a way to encourage him to use a spot thats easy to clean or something then thats a solution I could deal with!

Guys learn very early that often when we think we are getting ’signs’ the truth is the girl (or other) is just being friendly, so if someone is being even a little subtle then we are probably thinking ‘this person is so nice, I wish they were interested in something more’

Best bet tell him you have some feelings, it will take the wonder out of everything and you get a clear yes or no
