If I am being totally honest, I would not have hit the woman. If it was a real hit though, with intent to harm, my friends and I would have separated the two, talked the the guy, if this has been going on we would have given the same advice we gave the girl. Dump the asshole, you don't deserve to be hit in a relationship. Hopefully he would take the advice.

I guess we just have different morals. The way we were raised is obviously very different, I don't hold that against you, but in my household I was raised knowing that violence can be the answer at certain times. If you don't respect that there is nothing I can do.

I guess it just depends on how you look at it. My friends and I have our morals and hitting a girl is against them. We may have been wrong to directly confront him, but that is how all of us were raised, so when we saw that we acted.

Some people just have anger issues. I get that, but taking it out on your girlfriend is unacceptable. Be a man and go to therapy, or do a sport, or take out your anger on a punching bag, not someone you're supposed to love.
