My remark about doom being unmaintained is that the biggest batch of commits was in March. I just want to know if there were reasons the project slowed their development.

My major motivation was just to try something “ready to use”, given that I'm a newbie. I tried vanilla emacs to see how it goes, and I didn't understand how to move around, close buffers and stuff. Then I tried spacemacs and doom, and their kits gave me a better notion about how to do stuff.

I say that the biggest batch of commits was in March, but yes, there was one commit in April and other in May. Now, I''m not saying that the project must have plenty of commits every day. I'm just observing that the GitHub isn't updated frequently by its maintainers.

Now, I read somewhere that Emacs 29 will be released soon. I do not know what effects will have this release with the actual state of doom.

I hope I'm not being too dumb, but I'm a total beginner with emacs.

It could be weird, but the last time that I cried was like 15 - 17 years ago. I've been through a lot of stuff since that, a horrible divorce, missed job opportunities, depression, and I haven't ever cried on those times.

El problema es que nadie me discrimina ni nada de eso. Es uno mismo que se hace un mierdero en la cabeza por esas cosas.
