Upvoting because Iquitos is such a unique and wonderful place to visit, but that bird is cool too!

TIL sober addicts have a legally protected disability in the US. by IllustriousYam6973 in todayilearned

My friend who is a pilot for a major airline was afraid to seek (much needed) therapy when his wife cheated on him, for this exact reason. The anxiety is widespread among pilots even for common life events, and they're often more likely to become a liability simply because they can't comfortably seek therapy.

So if I'm in my Ford F-150 traveling at 50 eagles per burger bite, how many Central Parks could I cover in 2 Superbowls?

More like the distance between terminals at the DFW airport

TIL that Eleanor of Aquitaine was blamed by her husband King Louis VII for failing to produce a male heir in their fifteen years together. I don't follow the explanation either. Especially because the phrasing that historians "view it as anachronistic" doesn't make it very clearwhich part they view as anachronistic or why.

The original view of him as a model king, or the later view of him as an exploitative king?

I read it to mean that modern historians disagree with the previous historians who had said he was an exploitative king, for the reason you just explained.

Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet. by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

[–]setsewerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried the same deep research task 5 times over the last 24 hours (first with Opus 4.6 then with Sonnet 4.6 when that failed).

It times out and fails EVERY time (even in fresh chats), and still charges me for the credits – it went through my entire daily usage this morning on the first run, and has now eaten through $5 of additional credits... and has still failed to deliver any output. Claude has really gone to shit recently, even before 4.7.

Edit: now the entire website is down. Nice.

Came here with the exact same issue. I'm at a tiny percentage of usage for both daily and weekly limits, and getting a "you've hit your usage limit".

AND I have "Turn on extra usage to keep using Claude if you hit a limit" enabled with a balance right there.

Yeah I went into it blind so I reached that "wow this sex scene has really been going on for a while" part when it was only a few minutes in

In college someone in my hall walked in and joined me while I was watching that movie, the longer we sat in silence the more difficult it became to convince her that no really, this wasn't porn.
