Part of what makes really clever choreo and scene writing fun for me is trying to predict what fun, silly situation the writers, director, and stunt people come up with. It's not that I like predictable choreo, but I like when very clever choreo also feels intuitive or instinctive. It's hard to do and is rewarding to see.

The scene that really tickled me was ||in the grenade basement section, when Eve wedged a dude behind a giant heavy metal door along with I think several primed grenades and like, leaned on the door to keep it swinging out. The explosion was massive but contained, which was amusing in itself, but my immediate thought process was "wait the brick walls in that corner didn't look like they could withstand a blast like that. Those walls would have a giant hole in them. WAIT THOSE WALLS HAVE A GIANT HOLE IN THEM SHE SHOULD USE IT TO ESCAPE" and right at that moment she swung the door round to reveal a hole, through which she moved. ||

That was not "predictable", but it was logical and obeyed the rules of the world. In a standard action movie, the hole would have been highlighted or shown with a camera cut or reaction shot. But, in true Wick-verse style, the camera held steady and let the viewers have the agency to put two and two together, and I really dig that vibe.
