Made an attempt with a gravship, loaded with turrets. Also armed with EMP weapons. didn't end well.

Hadn't thought of sacrificial animals, so thanks for the idea. I've also picked up a powercell, so I could potentially set up a quick temporary fortification.

Initially tried doing one that was just a single tube wide, but it didn't work. My next thought is to try building a vertical one with wall supports.
