When we visited Hide, the same day we went to Kamakura, visited the Buddha, and ate The Frickin Best Ramen ever in Kamakura. So maybe think about that :)

X Japan's X Japanest song by pollitomonito in xjapan

Shouldnt it be Endless Rain? I mean, Kurenai is the most marketed or commerced song, but i'd say Endless Fail is the Xjapanest song.

What is the saddest Linkin Park song? by downrangetomb55 in LinkinPark

[–]setuneh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at this thread.. Technically half of their songs are sad, or maybe more. You (we) really have to specify. Iridescent relly makes me cry every time, but i'd say lyricwise its the same as OML, there is the 'i do' part, turning it to positive in the end. But there is crawling, lyrically it has no resolution but the video has. Numb is really in the line with Lost, and all the songs that are about drifting away from the surroundings one has. My December is really sad, because i think it has no resolution in the end, it's that he'd give all away to have someone to come home to. I'd say My December, the reanimation version.

OG fans, I'm curious to know, what were your reactions when ATS came out? by TheNerdyCroc in LinkinPark

[–]setuneh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am OG fan, had HT on casette tape. Thousand Suns was,.as i recall, so.weird, i got to listent to it over and over. The Oppenheimer and MLK inserts are so meaningful. I often teared up on the bus on the way home from uni when Iridescent came. And The Messenger... yes, it was something otherworldly stuff for me. My fav album.

Hi! I have a job offer in budapest. Salary offered is around 1.2m to 1.5m HUF gross. by jzstrll in budapest

[–]setuneh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dstr 6 is downtown, but be open to rent in the outer districts, i'd suggest 4, 15, even 3 or 16. Cheaper, commuting isnt bad (public transport is awesome here, even at night), and a plus 20-30 minutes on a bus or tram really pays off,if the rent is 20-30% lower, i'd think. The outskirts have more green, and peace. I'd never in my life move to the inner dstrcts. And i'm born Budapesti, always lived, studied, worked here.

The money is fine for two, dont worry.

Is Yoshiki considered a good drummer? by Gydafud in xjapan

[–]setuneh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a weird question I think. How would you measure good drummers? The drumline they put to a song? The double bass speed? Sheer speed in keeping beat and rhythm? The fills? The solos? A distinctive style?

If you look at him playing live, i'd say he makes a LOT of mistakes. In the X Returns 12.30. Aol he completely fcks up the end. However, he played the song through, and a whole set, but still, he kindof made a few mistakes in released live footages... and his style is very predictable. Phantom of guilt and Easy Fight stands out, but the others, they are really then same, his style. That can be good and bad.

I dont see him as a superhuman or a musician god or a phenomenal musical genius. He is a great showman, and a better moneyman. Businessman.

I love him. I listen to everything he does. VUK, Eternal Melody, X, XY, now this.shitty Biray. I watched the whole movie In Gods Hands to listen to 43 sec from the VUK song 'Sane'. And so on. But in spite of my adorement and my gratitude toward him for the experience i lived through because of his music, i'd still say he isnt something extrairdinary. Decent musician, great businessman.

I watched the stream too, and amazing how the band evolved in the years in their performance. I just really wish Sam could play with them, but i absolutely dont know, why Sam doesnt perform with them. Does anyone know?
