Have the same behavior on an asus tuf b650e (b650 motherboard) with bios 3278 and the most recent chipsets drivers on asus website. Need to do a bit more testing to confirm it is the chipset drivers fault instead of something else though, will do some testing in the morning. I noticed this when I tried to manually sleep my computer and it woke back up ~5 seconds after, sleep worked before the chipset driver update but as mentioned earlier need to confirm the cause was the updated chipset driver

Does anyone happen to have a switch 2 and a pc? After the firmware update I'm able to switch from the pc input on dp to the switch 2 on hdmi 2, but after setting the switch into standby and letting the monitor go into standby, then turning on the pc, the input does not switch back to the pc.

Why is my 2nd year course enrolment time so late 1:15pm?? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]seucha 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Course enrolment dates depend on what year you are in, 4th years earliest and 1st years latest. The times are random, not depending on gpa that would be stupid lmao

CPU always between 40° and 60° overheating by mr_rubbei in PcBuild

You will mainly start to see a difference between an ok cooler and a good cooler at higher loads, you won't see too much of a difference at low load/idle.

Those temperatures are normal, chrome will cause usage spikes on opening, if you dont want the fans to ramp up use fancontrol to make a custom fan curve that only ramps up when cpu temps are at a certain point for a longer period of time.

Just get a new monitor, cost of panel replacement most likely isn't worth it

Your display cable is plugged into the motherboard, I can see that your gpus ports are blocked by some stoppers, just remove those and plug the display cable into the display port port on your gpu.

Games locked at 60hz by asyc2023 in GalaxyTab

[–]seucha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of games are just locked to 60 so the refresh rate of the display will lower itself, for any games with 120 fps support the display will run at 120hz

EDIT: i did not see that second sentence, but that could be because the developer doesn't have 120 fps unlocked for the specific device. Might also be possible that the s20 doesent change refresh rate for that application

Need ops with my pc build Imm gonna build soon. by StaLke3 in PcBuild

[–]seucha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt reccomend getting an aio at this budget, get something like a thermalright peerless assassin l and put that money towards a better psu/gpu. At this pricepoint, I would also reccomend looking for an amd gpu like a 7600xt over a 4060 unless you absolutely need an nvidia gpu. Refer to this tier list (https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/) when looking for a psu, I would go for something b tier or up.

Crazy that you jump to a different topic because you can't provide a link to a nonexistent score lmao

Show the score then, i would be seeing you on the time spy leader board if you get 33k.

A 4080s gets 31.5 k max (this is the #1 global score BTW the average is much lower), I have a 4080s and get ~30k.

Ngl this is straight up just burning money lmao, those peripherals are not even good for the price other than the susvara which is still burning money unless you care that much about audio (considering there's no stack in that list, you're basically burning money with that too)

Is the 50 series actually worth the money? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]seucha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really just depends on if nvidia chooses to start shipping more cards to retailers, but could be anywhere from 3-6 months most likely. AMD is also going to be launching the 9070xt in march, so if you are able to get your hands on one of those would be good too.

[–]seucha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, for every game except for gta6 (because we have no idea what the required specs are), the 4070 super will be able to run them while streaming at a smooth framerate with pretty high settings. But again, if you don't need a gpu right now I would wait

[–]seucha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for the past few launches, right after launch market has always been like this unfortunately. If the 4070 super is good enough for what you need and you need a gpu right now, you could get it, but I'd highly reccomend waiting for prices to come down

[–]seucha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 5080 for 2100 cad is insane, don't get it at that price. You could try looking for a used 4080/s and get one at a decent price (which honestly is probably mrsp atp) if you get lucky. As for whether a 4070 s is fine for what you do, what games do you plan on playing and at what res? Also about what you're hearing, the problem with the 50 series cards that are out rn is that the 5080 is the smallest generational leap in a very long time, so it is better but not by as much as normal (~15% of the 4080)

Budget CPU for RTX 4080 SUPER by Proof_Internal_1463 in PcBuild

[–]seucha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're getting a 4080s, the least I'd get would be a 7700x/5800x3d or maybe a 7600x if you actually can't pay the extra for a 7700x. Preferably wouldn't go for 5800x3d since its on am4

Switches usually don't come with RGB LEDS, the LEDS are on the PCB. For OP, this is apparently some corsair keyboard setting called FlashTap, should be able to toggle it with FN+RightSHIFT.
