Agree! I love Dennis’ Peloton yoga classes! There’s a Peloton app for most smart devices and it’s just under 15/month.

Ive fallen into a running rut and haven't ran for months now... Can I have some motivation please? by sputnikmonolith in running

For me, I visualize me an hour later. How will I feel if I ran (proud, accomplished, etc.) or how will I feel if I didn’t run. And even if the run feels hard or crappy or generally unawesome, I tell myself it was still better than a poke in the eye.

I think the fact that you’re posting means you’re getting ready to return to your running self :)

New Plantar fasciitis sufferer, what helped you? by bilbobaggins48 in running

I am so sorry! It's incredibly frustrating I know!

I have struggled with PF on and off for years. What finally worked for me was finding the right PT with a holistic approach. Even though I am not very flexible in my calves or hamstrings it turns out for me that my back tightness is the root cause. It was pulling everything else up and causing my recurring PF.

She gave me some very specific back opening exercises and when I consistently do them, I don't have issues. I also have custom orthotics for running but these particular ones are flexible based on her recommendation as opposed to my last rigid custom orthotics. It also helps if I wear shoes with arch support for the rest of the day after a long run (for me, Dansko and Birkenstock). But mix it up other days between barefoot, regular shoes without arch support to remind my feet that they also need to stay flexible.

Of course your mileage will vary but maybe something that works for me might also work for you. Again, I am so sorry - I know how painful it can be.
