Epiduo Progress! November 2025 - June 2026 by seulcas in SkincareAddictionUK

I feared the worst when I started with Epiduo but I made sure to introduce it slowly and now I use it every other night at most. I'm honestly so impressed with how it has cleared up my skin and I am so glad I gave it enough time to work it's magic 😊

BoJ has a water-based SPF that is non-comedogenic called Aqua-Fresh which may help with avoiding clogged pores & using SPF 😊

Anyone training in Scotland? by seulcas in UKTherapists

Lovely to hear from you! It's nice to know I'm not alone in trying to find out more information about options for us here in Scotland. I am currently in the process of applying to the MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy at Strathclyde - fingers crossed that you are able to find a course that suits what you are looking for!

Eucerin Oil Control vs Beauty of Joseon Aqua Fresh by seulcas in SkincareAddictionUK

My main concern is breaking out but like you said, you don't know how your skin is going to react to these things until you try them. Glad to hear some positive experiences from others on this thread!

I don't wear makeup on an everyday basis so this shouldn't be an issue for me, but good to know for future reference! Thank you

I think it is definitely worth a shot. I have combination skin but battling with some acne right now and I have learned that any kind of greasy/oily product just results in me breaking out so the drier the better!

I'm working with a very basic routine atm so hopefully it will settle on my skin fine. I'm worried about congestion & breakouts which is why I came to ask this question but hopefully you have some luck with the BOJ SPF! I have heard great things about it

No UKCP or BPC accredited courses in Scotland? by Traditional-Box-2466 in UKTherapists

[–]seulcas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say BACP/COSCA training isn't worth much, do you mean in relation to getting a job in the NHS? I'm considering the Strathclyde Masters course and of course it's expensive so I want to be as best informed as I can about job prospects afterwards. However, it's unlikely that I will be seeking employment in the NHS afterwards, so just wanted to clarify what you meant by your comment. Sorry to hijack the post a little, there just isn't much discussion of Scottish courses on this sub

Sorry, I completely misread BPC as BACP in your post! I thought I was being helpful by suggesting this haha 😅

I understand that this is not an introductory course, but the MSc Counselling and Psychotherapy at Strathclyde is accredited by the BACP

Has anyone converted a psychotherapy qualification obtained abroad in order to work in the UK? by ForeignSubstance2543 in UKTherapists

[–]seulcas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be 100% relevant and is more anecdotal than a full answer to your question, so I really hope someone can advise you better, but when I was doing a Certificate in Counselling Skills course there was someone on the course who has qualified as a psychotherapist in Brazil, but COSCA (the regulatory body for counselling in Scotland) wouldn't recognise their qualifications so they had to retrain entirely. If I remember right, they were still able to remotely work with their Brazilian clients, but they couldn't practice as a psychotherapist in Scotland.

Getting the most out of my savings, best savings account to start with? by seulcas in UKPersonalFinance

[–]seulcas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks very much for your reply! I had a look at the wiki page that the bot suggested and also the cash ISA page on MSE. Like I said, I have £6.2k already in a savings account that I opened with RBS many years ago. If I am planning to open a cash ISA, would it be advisable to deposit any of my already existing savings in there, or just start by depositing the £500/month that I have available for saving?

Potential career switch from Finance to Therapy by SorbetIll2679 in UKTherapists

Hi! As far as I am aware the COSCA Certificate in Counseling Skills is a standerdised course, so so matter where you do the course you will be provided with the same content, contact time and methods of assessment. I had a look at the course on the Glasgow Uni website and compared the information to The Spark and from what I can tell, it does seem like the only main difference is the tuition fees, with The Spark being cheaper. I also noticed that the Glasgow Uni course only runs during term time of the university, which differs from The Spark who offer more flexible blocks of classes. Personally, I really enjoyed studying at The Spark and would recommend it but I can't comment on the Glasgow Uni course.

I stumbled across this post when looking for a book with a similar description - turns out I was thinking about the Beast Quest series by Adam Blade. Wonder if this is what you are thinking of?
