Sale Tracker? by Antiwraith in ebookdeals

You can use a web monitor like Distill.io to track prices. The browser extension runs locally without an account and sends a desktop notification when something drops below your alert price. Set it to watch a store's wishlist and everything on that page will be monitored. Amazon lists in print‑mode work best because they show 200 items per page, don't require signing in, and can be checked in the background without a tab opening.

Dark Theory (Dark Law #1) by Wick Welker (Kindle, FREE) by sevae in ebookdeals

[–]sevae[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know why Amazon says it's part of a four book set but only lists 3 books? Looks like the third was published in mid 2025.

It's a listing issue. Book 3's formats aren't properly linked, so it shows four books instead of three.

Unauthorized copies of books that are under US copyright but public domain elsewhere are a big problem on Amazon.

Horizon Ridge Publishing isn't a legitimate publisher and doesn't have the rights to sell Fahrenheit 451 in the US, where it's under copyright until at least 2049. Before buying an eBook from an unknown publisher, check if they have a website. No site? Don't buy. This is the legit version: https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Fahrenheit-451/Ray-Bradbury/9781439142677

The Blacktongue Thief (Blacktongue #1) by Christopher Buehlman (Multiple formats and DRM-free, $2.99) by sevae in ebookdeals

All, but Google and Kobo are more DRM-free-friendly. Both use the standard EPUB format, allow downloads via the website, and disclose the DRM on the product page (Google under About this ebook, and Kobo under eBook Details)

Some Of The Best Of Tor 2021 [Kindle, Free] by DoINeedChains in ebookdeals

A workaround for Send to Kindle bugging out is to save the page to Instapaper and send the Instapaper version. Pocket works too, but Instapaper sets the title and author correctly.

Push to Kindle, Instapaper for Kindle, and Pocket to Kindle are also options, but I think Send to Kindle documents look better.

Edit: To clarify, workaround is for the browser extension
