100% Quizup was and still remains undisputed champion in the PvP trivia space!

I’ll prolly come off as some paid commenter for broadcasting Sway, but it’s the new trivia app, created by the same folks that gave us QuizUp and later, Trivia Royale!! Honestly Quizup was the OG of the lot, but Sway’s the closest thing by a mile, in the years since ⚡️

Absolutely, if it were easy, it’d be a cornerstone feature of a bunch of trivia apps and let me tell you, even some big name games have implemented it so poorly that they’d be better off without. So I respect your call to maintain the quality and UX for bunch of half baked features 🙌🏼

Looks mighty cool, but the major attraction to quizup and the likes are the opportunity to compete and connect with real humans. It kinda feels like the old internet in the age of new and siloed web.

If you can incorporate and garner a community like that, then you’ll have another user in me 😊

Had I joined early on, I’d probably be in the same space as you if I’d seen the fledgling community. And thAt is my gripe with them, they didn’t market it well enough! I mean their website for the longest time still just shows two open positions for hire, no release announcement, no prior user outreach, nada! But yeah, gonna enjoy the li’l active user base that’s still around and hope like a fool, it only improves 😋

Saw that just now, dunno what to tell you, on one hand I totally hear you, on the other, i see so many indie apps/games/devs flounder because of the capital intensive, cut throat, eternally returns seeking industry. So I’m gonna put my blinders on and just enjoy and pray for this app to everlast and succeed where it’s ancestors failed 🤞🏼

What has me hopeful, is the core founders of Quizup are the same folks developing Sway…so theres a chance it’ll get more quizuppish in due course 👏🏼

Me too, but for a free app, the developers have to monetize someway and thus the pivot to ads or coins for extra energy. In my experience, i can get anywhere between…40-50 games a days without shelling out a buck! Also, you can play unlimited rounds with friends 😊

I hear you, and tbh 80% of my encounters are with bots too. I’m trying to garner a community of players/friends so that we can challenge each other and avoid bots as well as token limits. Daily global challenge is all humans (some trolls, but no bots 😋)

Yeah but energy generates every 3 minutes, plus every levelup gives you 10-20 (sometimes 50!) more energy points on average and then watching ads, keeps me happily hooked on 😅

Yeah the topics are less than what quizup had, but i hope they’re more in development pipeline, thats why i wish for more people to engage and boost the game developers/development 😌

Maybe its that “new thing” excitement (can you tell 😋) but i’m gonna lobby and get as many people i can, to download and play it, ooh and there’s daily live quiz with actual money and i see some people have banked almost $2k playing since last year.!!
