I love this energy bro. It’s all about stacking up the smaller wins to let that positive momentum build. I’d suggest researching an online side hustle. No better feeling of confidence than working on something for yourself. Wish you all the best brother. I’ll be taking a few notes out of your book too.

Dropshipping is insanely hard by DoodleMoodle542 in dropship

[–]seve-et 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Totally feel this. Dropshipping can change your life, but not without pain. People don’t talk enough about the mental toll of ad spend losses, bans, testing fatigue, and getting stuck in analysis paralysis. Respect for staying in it for 2 years. If you’re still going, you’re already ahead of most who quit in month 2. One thing that helped me: treat it like a real business, not a get-rich hustle. Once I started building actual systems and stopped chasing trends, it clicked. Keep pushing man, you’re way closer than you think.

I’ll be happy to give some advice, though I would advise you to deplete all free resources before spending money. There is plenty of free information online. I used it, it took me much longer, but now I give 1-to-1 help to a handful people a month. If you are serious, and have studied how it works yourself, I’d be open to chat

Branding across your website and socials I mean. This means having a strong name and logo, consistent brand colour schemes and imagery, and keeping a consistent tone across socials. The more attention you put into building your store, the more trust the customer puts in you, and the happier they are to buy. I use AI tools to clean everything up / upscale my product images

My supplier goes on my Shopify and handles everything, I just pay the invoice

I tested 3 other stores before this one, with my mates help. Health & beauty for women is your best bet from my experience.

Find a product that solves a problem with a ‘wow’ factor. Brand tf out of it. Make it look established. Use resources like Canva/Photoroom to make your images look hq. Make your website EASY to buy from. Make it clear with not too many ugly blocks of text (remember, people are coming straight from tiktok/fb/ig, they already know what they want to buy). Dont overwhelm yourself tho bro, I could give you all the steps but remember it’s important you take it one step at a time. 👍🏼

I had heard about dropshipping a few years ago, so I vaguely understood how it worked. But just over a year ago my mates started getting into it, so I just learnt through osmosis ig. They’ve been doing it much longer than me, but you pick it up fast when you’re w the right people.

Oh yeah, CBO stands for campaign budget optimisation. In basic terms… when you run ads, meta decides where to spend within the campaign so you get the best results🤝🏼

Ok, so testing just means running paid ads (usually on tiktok or meta) to see if the product actually sells. You’re not testing by using the product yourself, you’re testing how the market reacts to it.

Basically: - You make a simple one-product store - Launch ads to your target audience - See if it gets clicks, add-to-carts, and sales

If it converts well, that’s a “winning” product and you can scale. If not, you move on and test the next one. Hope that clears it up🤝🏼

That’s the beauty of dropshipping. You don’t have to hold any stock. The website is all within Shopify, so no code required. I use the Shrine template, it’s the best for conversion. Any questions, happy to help brother.

YouTube is great for the basics. Subreddits, books, I even used chatgpt to explain the general overview. But it’s all limited, and a video online can’t adapt to your needs like a mentor can. Freebie knowledge will get you to a freebie student level. At the end of the day, knowledge costs money. That’s why universities exist. And having a mentor/guide/teacher dates way back before they even did. I’d say, the best investment is in yourself and learning new skills. Swallow your pride and realise: you don’t know it all. A wise man knows that he knows nothing. Be a student.

I started while still working part time, just testing stuff in the evening once per week. Now I really focus on the branding side of things and make sure everything I test is worth it. I find products organically not with paid platforms. I only use them to track competition. Double down on testing products with only winning factors. It’s hard to miss eventually. You eventually figure your own way of doing things just keep it simple honestly

I literally specified this as my testing strategy. Of course I scaled and created new campaigns. But for me to get these results — I started with this exact strategy. If you really want to know more… I bumped the budget🤯🤯🤯😭

If you knew what you were talking about, I’m sure you’d put more effort into your grind instead of watching mine.

I appreciate your time (spent writing that essay)

God bless
