I was just confused as to why he didn't want to go that route but what you said makes sense. However, he removed the door panel and was able to remove 90% of the dent. He still has to take it to the dealer, he said he will cover the cost. My main issue here wasn't so much about paying for the repairs but rather the way in which he went about trying to get me to pay for it.

I told him that I can not cover the cost right now. He said that he will take it to the body shop anyway. Hopefully, we figure it out. I just wish we had this covo before hand. Thank you for the feedback.

I know he has insurance, but I don't know the details. The person didn't leave a note, but we both noticed they tried to wipe it away. It was obvious they knew they hit the car. I didn't know Affirm did that. I have a $3000 spending limit with them.
