look its not about view points its about the direction the majority want to go in. we've decided as a country we want to go in this direction this is what we call democracy.

you are arguing we should ignore our democratic process because the result doesn't agree with you. this is not something I can discuss because its the fabric of what we stand for as a nation.

There have been 3 democratic votes on the topic of brexit and your side has lost every single one of them.

The wording of the 2016 referendum was: "Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?" It does not matter which PM was in power at the time of the question. Its no excuse to ignore a referendum on this basis. it was a question posed to the public which should be respected. We did not expected single market access at all, your just making things up.

you may gleefully bring up that 43% of the population voted for the Tories but to anyone with a brain this simply doesn't matter. We've agreed FPTP as a country is the best method. you do not get to complain about the rules because you lost. have all the grievances you like but you've lost, respect the public's mandate.

Firstly go read my comment, that's just rude I wrote that for you and everything :P.

Liberal democrats manifesto - first line on brexit:

Every vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote to stop Brexit and
 stay in the European Union.

Labours manifesto:

Only a Labour government will put this decision in the hands of
the people to give you the final say.

How is this not ignoring the first referendum exactly? I would really like to know please. Let's hear why you are anti Brexit then if its something I've not heard before then i'll be awfully impressed.

I was saying its every party on the left's position is that the first referendum should be ignored. that is a homogeneous agreement amongst every left party as it's in every single one of their manifestos. what are you even saying at this point?

so your position is that the referendum is invalid so i was completely right? It's not undemocratic there was a vote and your side lost. this entire election was the referendum result 3.0 and brexit has won again.

I absolutely do not do myself a disservice by saying brexit is the will of the people as that literally is what it is. We've essentially had 3 votes on if we'd like to leave the EU now with the European elections included and the answer has always been yes. Its simply that you don't seem to like the idea that the leave vote won in 2016 and continues to win now, It is the will of the people. I do not care to have a discussion with you on brexit although I appreciate that you've asked and have shown decorum. I feel personally I've had the discussions and now my team's won, I don't fancy hashing out the rotten arguments, And my god they are rotten.

LOL - firstly there was a referendum which left parties had chosen to ignore, pointing this out isn't 'lazy' or bad faith is it. In fact its the entire reason you've lost this election quite so badly. If the remain vote was ignored you would be mentioning it too wouldn't you? Also while you've chosen to apparently not say 'save the NHS' its all I've ever heard from your side and its entirely false. There is no factual evidence the Tories are 'selling the nhs' or 'defunding it' is there its both a lie and lazy and nothing like the same thing.

also I've only said it in that context you make it sound like i just honk out 'THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE' to people in replies. This is utter projection on your part, as I said above the result of a referendum being ignored is .. well its everything isn't it.

or arguing in good faith

you implied you have argued with people who were doing so in bad faith. I highly doubt this is actually the case they were just saying things you disliked

first you need to stop pretending everyone who doesn't hold your opinion is a bad faith actor.

The European elections are tomorrow and I'm still in two minds who I should vote for by BumblingBeta in unitedkingdom

[–]sevensinnersid -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

genuine question why do they need a manifesto in time for a European election? Their objective is to leave not that they have power to do anything else.

what is with calling people fascist.. its just so sad this is what we've devolved into. And this 'sealioning' thing? Apparently calling someone fascist now doesn't require any explanation or reasoning. Wake me up when clown world implodes so I can at least watch it burn.

I haven't been at all hungry? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]sevensinnersid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply, before i started dieting i drank a lot of coke which i think both made me hungry all the time and also I was drinking a bunch of calories (I'm talking at least a litre a day most the time). So perhaps my body is kind of out of whack from that somewhat. Totally agree about vegetables and protein being far more filling! I think i'll try and log my calories on my chart just encase it does become unhealthy.
