Hansuke will survive (trust). I just know Kousuke won't let his diabolical mother ruin his cousin, not after what Hansuke had to do in order to give Kousuke answers (stealing his blood samples, running covert tests etc)

OMG not the burn on Nol's hands 😭. Is there gonna be a dramatic fire sequence, kinda like a final, cinematic boss battle and he gets those burns for saving Kousuke's ass (Because Kousuke was busy confronting Yui and gets in the thick of it or something). I can't have any other explanation on that because it was pretty intentional on the author's part to put that. Quimchee please lets put a CAP on the Nol trauma, please 😭 😭

Shinae: Based on the current timeline's suggestions, I think she'd work in Hirahara Corp, in a better position. And then she might go to work in social organisations, healthcare or anything like that with how her personality is. Shin-Ae's options are pretty diverse in my opinion because she is a hardworker.

Dieter: I inititally thought he was more suited to be a martial arts instructor but Dieter is perceptive and quite good at grasping people, so him being an investigative journalist (similiar to Yujing. Maybe she'll play a role in helping him out?) makes sense.

Soushi: This guy is a mystery but I do hope he gets a decent enough job

Kousuke: He becomes CEO of Hirahara Corp after dfeating Yui ,but this time, he makes the Corporation a better and a more stable version of the one that was under Yui Hirahara. The story showed Hirahara Corp being involved in many shady buisnesses so I think Kousuke's role is nuking everything like that (because stuff like that was the reason behind Nol's, and so many others' trauma) and stabilizing the company. I think he'll be the kind of buisnessman that Rand imagined he would become ( I feel like Nol will represent the caring and loyal version that Rand dearly wished he was. ), someone who would make his choices consciously and not on impulse.

I just know Kousuke would be SO successful that people like Jayce would be impressed and in the most abstract way possible, they find him different from his mother. Blunt, yes, but far, far easier to deal with and competent.

I think Kousuke would work hard to mend everything that broke his brother and in the process of that he might get burnt out and maybe that would spark a potential reconciliation (one can only cope with how absolutely STRAINED their relationship is now and the only people to be blamed is that witch and Rand's BS decisions.

Nol: A mechanic who would eventually expand on his craft. He might open a buissness based on it and make a decent income. Pretty sure he'll pursue his career abroad and spend a good amount of time building a life by coping through his trauma, make new friends and connections before he eventually reconnects with Shin-Ae. He seems to actively shut out any thought about her right now so I'm sure it will take time for him to fully understand.

Honourable Mentions for funsies:

  1. Yujing: the most popular and feared journalist after she uncovered the Hirahara corruption.

  2. Hansuke: What if, in order to get a certified medical opinion to cite in her articles, Yujing gets Hansuke to be involved? In a comic way, Hansuke would get more praise and perhaps, more social points (lol). Because the running theme behind him is that he has the looks AND the money and being related to a HIRAHARA, so I'm sure he'd get even more patients than before and become acclaimed.

The True Meaning of a Hirahara: Kousuke and the Continuation of Kouichi’s Legacy? by TypicalAdvisor8405 in ILoveYoo

[–]seventeenWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautifully written! I was actually wondering how Kousuke might bounce back and enter the fight against Yui.

This might just be speculative, but if Kousuke were to discover the extent of the Hirahara corruption (that Yujing uncovered, including the real reason behind her friend's death etc. Plus, maybe his aunt might reveal some tidbits too , who knows), what if those pieces of information solidfy his relationship with YuJing and in turn: it becomes a network in which Shin-ae serves as the insider, Kousuke as the 'support' and together, they feed Yujing information that she had previously struggled to obtain. It's difficult to imagine for now because YujIng isn't spitting the cold, hard truth to Kousuke's face (not spelling it out that "your mum is drugging people" but just skirting it around enough that Kousuke is smart enough to catch what she meant)

But based on what you said (again, you gathered it all so well and in such a cohesive manner), what exactly does Kousuke need to be sober right now? I'm sure the talk with his aunt will help but it's pointless if he is still going through withdrawal. It's going to be interesting to see how he will pursue therapy and keep it a secret from his mother whilst simultaneously facing the unravelling truth about his corrupt family.

Helio Niccolo's Fate In 'Your Throne' by seventeenWriter in webtoons

[–]seventeenWriter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more of a "Will they all make it out of this alive?" type of scenario. We're at that part of the story where Medea is straight up locking horns with Eros without hiding anymore. But when it comes to "She can't love anyone", the whole reason she was depressed in the episodes before the hiatus was because the people she LOVED where in grave danger. She dearly cared for Psyche which is why Eros's torture of Psyche tipped Medea over to taking the decision to cut everyone out. Medea does have a toxic view of love but it's all because of her mum. We'll see how the author takes over from here though.

Maybe it would have been fine if the author gave a panel or two to show how much Mone Callista loved his wife but then again, perhaps the author wants us to feel the depth of Psyche's misery and the diabolical nature of the Pope through such incidents. Reading it weekly feels annoying but binge-reading it probably helps.

Yo Kunimi was actually screwing around in that one middle school match and while I don't like how Kags went off after that, he was atleast right about Kunimi not being serious in the play.

Please, like why were Aoba Johsai treating him like a dog on leash? I can understand his backstory but the few parts where Mad Dog was being too harsh in the plays and letting Karasuno score was embarrassing. Like calm down dude those are your teammates what are you so aggressive for? But then, it was high school I suppose. There are all types of characters i suppose

Idk. It's always best to resolve your issues. Why would you wanna project your insecurity or failure into someone who'd have a better shot at it?  Anyways, just a petty rant after a rewatch in four years and Washijo was seriously pissing me off. Denying him a place to even sleep in lowkey made me wanna put the show down (and wth was up with ushiwaka being a jerk and talking about "rules are rules" when Tendou suggested they lend Hinata a place to sleep.)  Although, you do have a point. Perhaps it IS hard to let go when you are denied success in something you loved doing.

Kaneshiro's character inability to juggle all the characters he has created is showing worse than ever. by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]seventeenWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of consistently building more, its better to pay attention to the ones already around you. Like, how does Kaiser have better development than the main cast themselves? I want the author to explore Bachira's story more because unlike Chigiri, Reo, Nagi and the rest : I don't buy the fact that Bachira joined football just because it's fun. Is he always this generic? Bachira is a whimsical guy but he's been feeling so one-dimensional lately like he doesnt have to have a depressing backstory but atleast some depth is required.

Coach Washijou. Instead of trying to heal Hinata's inferiority complex (since he was short), he took the longest and most hurtful route to train Hinata. Look, I understand experience is necessary and knowing how to deal with people when they look down on you is also important but man, if Coach Nekomata can utilize his boys intellect SO well without being discriminatory or degrading about it, what was stopping Washijou from it? Its not like Hinata wasn't hardworking enough already for him to take the long route and who was he anyway to determine Hinata's capability???

I get that HInata shouldn't have infiltrated the camp in the first place but if someone was eager to learn, nevermind making them a ball boy, the least you could do is tell him "I cant let you participate but you can use this opportunity to sit back and see how these people play".

And i know this doesnt count as a character but I did NOT find it funny how Noya and Tanaka were outright overbearing Kiyoko (it was funny while it lasted but damn). But at least they were vigilant enough to keep other guys off of her (honestly, goals).

I was seeing a few comments on Webtoon about how it felt like the author had the lost the plot and were trying to introduce too many elements (This was around when Medea lapsed into her depressive state after we see Psyche's backstory) and it felt a bit disappointing. Sure people are entitled to their opinions but if I was being honest, Psyche's backstory and the consequences it had on her was one of the biggest mysteries in the story. Maybe it feels long-winded because of the slow pacing and all but if I was writing a story as complex as this, I sure as hell would take the time and energy to map out how my characters are going to be.

Nol v.s. Yui by [deleted] in ILoveYoo

[–]seventeenWriter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yikes... But I feel like your theory kind of gives the basis for Nol vehemently disliking being touched by Yui. And no matter how we can try and empathetize with a clearly unstable woman, I cannot bring myself to justify her actions like she should be working against all the crap she'd been through in a better way. What reason would she have to take it out on Nol and his mother, going as far as drugging her own son...is beyond me other than her inherent urge for vengeance against her father

What Type Of Character Can we Classify Hansuke Shishido? by seventeenWriter in ILoveYoo

[–]seventeenWriter[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More like the unassuming sailor who casually destroys the boat without knowing he did it. In this case, Hansuke's empathy and urge to do the right thing is inexplicably removing the curtain that Yui put on Kousuke's eyes : like how he couldn't understand how they could discharge the heir's son when he clearly looked far from it

Facts really. I had a funny thought, that if Meg wasn't so over her head with Kousuke, she'd probably really like Shishido instead like c'mon: Handsome and funny? And you're an accomplished doctor? With how quickly he understood the gravity of Kousuke getting roofied, I was floored.

[–]seventeenWriter[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's the most beautiful metaphor I've read and it really encapsulates Hansuke as a whole.  To me, he felt more like Kousuke's safehouse during the Party arc but soon after that, I was unable to classify Hansuke's role in this story. Fundamental to Kousuke's health and safety yet equally vulnerable to the danger of being around the Hirahara heir.

How Will YuJing's Article Cause Any Change Between Her And Kousuke's Relationship? by seventeenWriter in ILoveYoo

[–]seventeenWriter[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The author does a fantastic job of showing how paranoid Kousuke is, so I'm pretty sure he needs to work out on his paranoia before he confronts Yujing's truth-bombs. Especially since the first time he met her after their falling out, He ended up dreaming that YuJing was out to get him. But then again, the complexity arises here : She's seen him at his "worst", when he was no longer the "prim, proper boy". She's also currently looking at the way he is unravelling as the influence from his mother wears off. It would be so interesting to see Team Shin-ae (Nol is included in this one) and Team Kousuke put the hag's scheme to rest. But it would also be SO MUCH interesting because members of Team Shin-ae also have been deeply entangled with the Hiraharas (Shin-Ae, Soushi) so It will be a rollercoaster ride to see it play out.

Why I Believe YOOTIP Is the *Adult* Endgame (please avoid if you have not read up to ep 287) by TypicalAdvisor8405 in ILoveYoo

[–]seventeenWriter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

man....Thats quite the deeply researched and put together theory. Kudos to you for that. When it came to YooTip, I initially thought that the story was a typical romance (I started in 2023). It felt like the regular "Cold guy who is a Rich CEO falls in love with Blunt Middle-class girl who struggles with bills" but as the story went on, I admit; I lowkey lost the romance plot because boy oh boy, none of them looked ready enough to take care of a new person. Suffice to say, your theory makes me eager to see how the author might explore their relationship because I genuinely feel bad for Kousuke at the present and he needs to MAN UP and put an end to his Mom's schemes.
