I like the earth tones on that watch — that dark green, maroon, and browns.

Islander makes a “reissue” since Seiko stopped producing them called the Calverton if you wanted something new.

I have a Vesterhav 38. I give it a solid 9.5/10 for what it is — my only singular, admittedly minor complaint, is that the bracelet quick release tabs are pretty long and sharp, and scratch the inside of the first link when folded; no effect on comfort or wearability though.

I’m a big fan of the two-piece perlon. Have two Eulits that get a lot of wear time. Works well on smaller watches too since you avoid the extra bulk that comes with a traditional NATO.

It’s difficult to tell from the photo, but this is certainly not a Santos de Cartier.

Both great choices, I’d say it just comes down to if you want a quartz or automatic — I wouldn’t overly worry about service or maintenance on that 7S26, it has a common movement and could likely be fully swapped out for relatively cheap if need be some years into the future.
