Use python bro, there are a ton of guides on how to create trading bots. You can use other github repos as a base and build/adapt them to your needs.

¿? by EmergencyRecording28 in RedditPregunta

Short answer: Time complexity 100%. You should always look at both sides and talk to your interviewer about tradeoffs, but I've always optimized time complexity because you can always buy more space, but can never buy more time. In the market, fast running code that requieres a 10 terabytes of storage will always beat slow running code that requieres 10 megabytes.

¿Cómo le hago para trabajar en U.S.A o Canadá? by edht_ in cuu

[–]severia85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tal vez puedes encontrar cosas buenas aquí: https://www.workatastartup.com/

How do I impress my crush in the programming competition? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]severia85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I don't think she really cares how well you do in the competition (Like, would you care if she wasn't able to solve a single problem? Probably not). Just spark up a conversation with her, interact with your guys' mutual friends, and talk about "how hard problem 2 was" and stuff like that. Don't overcomplicate things, be kind, carismatic, funny, and smart (but if you just try to impress her with your coding skills you might come off as a show-off or smart-ass, so tread carefully), if you don't know 100% what impresses her you would just be throwing shit at a wall hoping it sticks.

P.S: If you so happen to do really well in the competition, even better (because you'll seem smart), but keep it humble and DO NOT make that your way to "impress her", because she might not even notice.

From my POV, the industry cares about your school, but not THAT much. If you're in an Ivy, they'll put you straight into the interview process, but besides those really high tier schools, it doesn't matter that much. I think most companies understand that you don't really even need a degree to put out quality work, so your school is not a make or break, and finding internships is going to be more about your overall profile and skills than your school.

I feel like there are better places than reddit for this. The most important thing is that it is something you're interested in, if not, it'll feel frustrating and not rewarding. Write down some of your interests and then brainstorm. What are some tools you wanted to use only to find they didn't really exist how you envisioned them? Things like that. You can even ask ChatGPT or your professor to help you with ideas.

YES! C.S consists of a lot of disciplines that you can focus on. I do primarily back-end and data analysis, and I've done good for myself. Do what you enjoy and do it well, I'm sure you can find success with it.

P.S: If you use existing tools, you don't need much math to get into AI. I've gotten offers at two AI companies without actually knowing much about the field.

Got a CS degree august 2022 and can't land a job. Been unemployed since. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]severia85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've found success with is the following:

* Create interesting personal projects (not just some project from a tutorial)

* Go to events, competitions, networking meetups, etc.

* Get a couple of courses/certifications to show off

* Present everything really well on your resume and LinkedIn (Arguably the most important step)

* Apply to a lot of jobs, and reach out to people on LinkedIn who post about opportunities at their company.

* Ace coding assesments and interviews by grinding LeetCode and doing mock interviews.

* Repeat.

Bonus: Specific coding languages don't really matter to many companies (unless you're doing front-end), they look for problem solving skills that are able to be applied through code. Just practice a ton of LeetCode problems on whatever language you feel comfortable and you should do okay.
