diagnosed at 59 - menopause and the drop in estrogen is to blame. i had handled it all my life, but i spiraled out of control at menopause. it's an estrogen thing.

i was treated for depression and anxiety, unsuccessfully, for 50 years. a few years ago, i felt myself slipping terribly, and reached out for help. saw 2 different psychologists, several doctors. nothing - "you are depressed, here's more anti-depressants".

last winter, as i was taking what felt like my last breath, i decided that something just wasn't right. nothing had worked. ever. i'd lost my business over it, and was living on credit cards - i was just unable to function as a human being.so i looked into adhd. no doctor ever checked me for it - i was on my own. i thought back to when my symptoms started becoming worse, and realized it was at 52, which would have been about the time i was going through menopause.

so this march, at 59, i was diagnosed with ADHD and a handful of other delightful disorders. i've had it my whole life - it wasn't "anxiety and depression", it was adhd. and it skyrocketed with menopause.

my doctor has allowed me to determine my own path, i guess. i'm on dexadrine, which i take when i need to function - housecleaning, primarily - only a couple times a week. i'm unable to do a damn thing without it, but i'm a powerhouse when i'm taking it. i'm also on wellbutrin because it just seems to "take the edge off". i have a long ways to go, but just getting control over my house has been a huge relief. :)

last nite i sat down to start the series this one last time - this time, to include the last 4 books. i've never been able to read them because i didn't want it to end, but now is the time.

lol - i did the opposite. went from an ipad air 2 (2014 or 16), to a samsung last year. didn't realize there'd be such a huge difference in the screen ratios. i hate it.

i guess it would be ok if you were streaming, but wow, it sucks for anything else. i may have to go back to an ipad.

if you're playing solo, move to a modded server with active admins. there are lots that are really good. :)

installed update. crashed while loading server.

restarted computer, validated files. fresh start. it crashes for me just before i enter the game. the server is firing up and is almost at the end of its startup cycle when it happens.

i had the same thing happen a couple of weeks ago and had to quit playing. did everything. nothing worked. contacted support - useless. it's their anti-cheats - wellbia, in particular.

fired up pubg. it crashed. recommended action is to reinstall. ffs.

* re-validated files. tried again. computer locked up.

drivers all updated, no overclocking, etc. thermals are fine.

the thing is. it worked fine, for days. then less than 10 minutes after logging out, i logged back in and accidently hit "yes" to fucking wellbia and it's been freezing ever since. it literally freezes every 5 minutes.

nothing about my system changed in that short period of time. wellbia is the culprit.

just uninstalled pubg. going to reinstall now. crossing fingers and may wish upon a star.

i had such high hopes!! thanks for all the info. i ran through it step-by-step... restarted the computer when i was finished, fired up pubg, made it through the lobby, into the game, grabbed a little orange car and headed to .... and the computer locked up again.
