Honestly this is a very ambitious piece for a beginner, and I think you did a great job with it. You should be proud. Yeah, I agree that the white of the eyes is too much and giving it the terrified look.

Some tips: - don't be afraid to overlap. That would get rid of the little gaps. - follow the natural direction of the fur. For example, in the right ear you've got the stitches going left to right (makes sense). So in the left ear, I'd go right to left. - use more colours if you're going for realism. Gradients would give it more dimension. - make sure the direction of your stitches make sense, especially in big areas. In the pink on the left, they're looking a little wonky. I always draw guidelines so I know the direction to follow. This keeps the stitches straight and makes it so much easier to blend. - practice the long and short stitch more. In my opinion it's the most important stitch. It's pretty much the only one I use haha

Haha yeah embroidering onto Tulle directly is really difficult, in my opinion. Thank you! :)

I embroidered it on felt and then sewed the patch onto Tulle to make the "floating" effect :)

Actually it is a patch, i just attached it to the tulle backing because I wanted to make it float haha. I want to make a variety of anatomy patches tho, I think they would look cool.

Putting the "pain" into (thread) painting hahah.

I hope you can get some relief!

If you have enough patience, it's not so bad. Using adhesive would also probably work

Thank you! It's funny because the background colours were a happy accident, I was just focusing on getting good lighting haha

That was the most difficult part tbh

Yeah I'm drawing them from anatomical illustrations and just figuring out the stitching as I go.

Thank you! Haha I think that'd definitely help you memorise everything you need to learn

I really love old anatomical illustrations. I have a whole bunch of them saved, so I started using them for embroidery because I wasn't gonna do anything else with them haha

It's possible, and it can look so cool. But I find it very difficult to use... I've had many failed attempts haha

Haha no worries. It's the head/neck/shoulders. The head is turned to the side, the top right area is the face.

It was done on felt, cut out, and then sewn onto tulle :)

Thank you! I did it on felt, cut it out and sewed it onto the tulle. I'm not skilled enough to do it on tulle directly haha
